MACK4ttACK
I know this won't be a popular opinion... after all I came up with it. A couple posters might reply, and then it might die like the Saints season is destined.But... What if Coach Dan Quinn was rightand game 6 was really "just another game" ?What if the Saints-Falcons rivalry is really "only 2 games" out of the season every year? What if the rivalry is really just something the fans make up to tell themselves a story, like we do with every game and every player on the team? What if we lose both games to the Saints but end up 11-5 and in the playoffs? What if there really is nothing more you can do than to do your best? What if we approached every game with 100% effort, because 110% effort is literally impossible?I think we all need to take a step back for a minute and look at week 6 for what it is. 1 week in a 16 week schedule, and if Coach Dan Quinn has the team playing championship football every week, then we can't feel worse for any loss than the next. Anyway, stop worrying about losing to the Saints, and be excited that we have a 80% win rate right now.

Ghosts of Glanville
Been giving this topic some thought tonight. From the perspective of a team, I don't worry about the saints rivalry much. They have some annoying players and obnoxious fans, but so do the other 30 teams (we're perfect, so we are excluded, of course). The only thing that gets under my skin is the whole Katrina thing. It's not our fault that city got hit with a hurricane. So how did we become the designated stooge for the whole saints/Katrina storyline? Carolina, Tampa and Dallas all got a pass from having to deal with that crap. Every time this BS comes up, they get their nice little headline, and we have to sit there and take it. Enormously frustrating

allknowing
just another game is a crock. is the patriots vs colts game this weekend gonna be just another game for the pats? they're gonna say it is, while hanging 40 on them.we said it was just another game but also seemingly prepared like it was. meanwhile the saints that have looked like crap all year used their 1-4 record and the rivalry aspect to not just win but bully both our lines. i felt like i was watching mike smith again. PokerSteve
This was more than just another game where we got curb stomped by our biggest rival on national television. The real disturbing thing about this game is it continues a downward trend in every aspect of this team which really began to become a huge problem in the Redskin fiasco. For two weeks in a row this team has looked completely out of sync, the offense game plan is incomprehensible, the D is playing baby-soft zone with zero pass rush again and the Special Teams embarrassed themselves with another blocked punt TD in the Stuperdome. Not acceptable. At all. It's one thing to get beat by a better team, it's a whole other thing to beat yourself and make a bottom-feeder team look like the 1971 Dolphins. This team needs to get its individual and collective chit together before this "trend" becomes the death knell of a promising season. That's on Quinn and his staff, and they dam sure have serious work to do.

We fumbled 2 times in the red zone in a division game on a short week with a rookie head coach in a new scheme and only came up 10 points short. I seriously have doubts if you people watch these games or just tend to blow all this shizz up out of proportion. Come on man **** .
