Oldskooler
Let's look at the glass as half full. Let us not bemoan the unmasking of the previously unbeaten Atlanta Falcons as a paper tiger, a team whose 5-0 start to the season was as much a product of a soft schedule as a barometer of the Falcons themselves. No, instead let us celebrate the New Orleans Saints, who did the exposing with a 31-21 win at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/vintage-saints-back-in-business-in-nfc-south/ar-AAfvooW?li=AA54yf&ocid=thanksDHPOur teams gutless, listless, cowardly, uncaring, unprofessional non-performance last night made this article spot-on accurate.Decades of humiliatingly horrible play when the spotlight begins to shine on us is why such scornful derision is earned and deserved.Even our own coaches don't believe in the team! Shanahan only ran 17 times, compared to 44 passes. He clearly and obviously didn't believe we could impose our will upon the Saints and just run the ball right down their throats. Our own coaches believe we are a fraud. Guest Negatorris
Dan Quinn looked like Mike Smith last night. The blank looks on the sidelines and absolutely zero adjustments defensively as his team sputtered. We could have lost to any other 1-4 team but why the ******* Stains?? mattyicefalcon
we all are hurt mann! just get over it.....we need to back our team no matter what. There are bigger things outhere for us.

There are bigger things outhere for us.I've been backing our team since Steve Bartkowski's rookie year. Others have been doing so as long or longer. When will they start living up to our backing of them through thick and thin??When will they begin to justify our faith? Falcons24Hawks
The thing that was frustrating was it was the same thing over and over. Stone cannot snap the ball down the middle. Ryan had to do all types of dances just to get the snap. he is also missing reads, which may be due to the new O, idk, I'm not on the field. I distinctly remember Roddy being wide open on a 3rd or 4th down and ryan didn't even look to that side of the field. Our O line should not fall apart bc we are missing Persons.on D, the TE destroys us. he's applied for Medicare yet he can make Worrilow and Moore look like idiots over and over. After the 6th catch, maybe they should have thought "hey, lets try covering this guy"and on ST, you KNOW this team has a statue out in front of the stadium of a blocked punt against our team. that should be on your mind every ******* time you go out there to punt, yet you let them do it again? its straight up embarrassing.this team needs a long look in the mirror, not bc they took an L, its bc this game matters much more to the fans and the city. I'm fed up of getting a punt blocked every time we go down there.
Falcons24Hawks
It's just one game. no man, its not. losing to the titans, or vikings, or even the bucs for that matter is just one game. this is the ******* aints game. it counts as just one L on the record book, but its way more than that

mattyicefalcon
they don't have to justify anything. It is our choice to stay loyal as fans or gtfo! We all can vent and be disgruntled but, turning your back against your own team no way! I don't care how many paper bags we need to keep wearing.....I'm a falcon for life
Oldskooler
It's just one game. As Falcons24Hawks observed, no: this is NOT just one game. This is EVERY spotlight game we have ever been in.This is 1980 vs. Dallas. This is the 1998 Super Bowl. This is the 1986 Falcons after hosting "Inside The NFL" at 4-0, then only winning 3 more games the rest of the season. This is the 2006 Katrina Bowl. This game is an amalgam of every humiliation, every heartbreak, every flash of unrealized potential. Psychic Gibbon
The injuries and already existing roster holes caught up with them last night, especially in regard to covering the TE. No Durant or capable FS killed us last night. Stone being an incompetent snapper did not help matters.

The roster was littered with holes since not everything could be fixed, sufficiently upgraded, or fine tuned for the scheme changes and it showed last night. Guest King Jigsaw
The real question is.. What did we do to earn your garbage? Is there nothing better in your life that you spend so much time spreading gloom on this board? I haven't seen someone post so many times a day with such a negatively charged agenda since swift. What is it that you're trying to prove constantly badmouthing a team to its fans?

I'm going to accept the fact that 31 other teams are trying as hard as the Falcons to win, so you take the good with the bad
