Flying Falcon
When Dree Brees said, "They have the same guys on defense from last year." Was he referring to Worrilow? Was that his way of saying that they would target Worrilow and the middle of the field? I think it does.
FalconMama
No he was saying we literally have the same guys from last year. I don't think he was singling out one player in particular

AF89
Kinda disgusted we didn't make Drew test us deep. His arm isn't 100%, why give him the short passed he wants. At least then maybe Tru or Alford could make something happen. Easier said thandone I guess. Maybe with no pass rush we had no choice which is quite worrisome in and of itself. Knowing Watson would be open like that, cause we can't cover the middle of the field like last year?

No matter how many teams dink and dunk their way up and down the field on us he will not go man to man. He clearly does not trust the guys to hold up for extended periods of time. It's the same reason we only blitz 14% of the time even In obvious passing situations. You just can't run zone all game against the better QBs/OC in this league. Just like smitty he's content to live and die by a four man rush

Knowing Watson would be open like that, cause we can't cover the middle of the field like last year?He probably saw Soliai, T. Jackson, Babs, Hageman, Worillow, Willy Mo, Trufant, Alford and thought they have pretty much the same players as last season. Durant would've made a big difference in this game imo. He saw the Cowboys tape and saw Worillow getting burned and missing tackles, he probably knew he would be going to Watson a lot tonight. The Falcons made him look like Jimmy Graham.
