Falconsfan567
Smitty won his first game vs the saints.Smitty's first game against the Saints was week 11 at home. Much, much different than Quinn's first game against the Saints being on the road on a short week in what turned out to be Katrina Bowl 2.0. But keep trying! paulitik
Many people believe that Bill Belichick is a serious, objective coach, that treats every game the same. That couldn't be further from the truth. Brady and Belichick live for revenge, and love humiliating their rivals. We should have gone into this game with the fiery hatred that the Pats play the Colts with. We treated it like any other game.
Diesel_Bird
Quin wasn't snapping the ball to Ryan, or blocking on special teams, or fumbling the ball around. This isnt on Quinn.
paulitik
Quin wasn't snapping the ball to Ryan, or blocking on special teams, or fumbling the ball around. This isnt on Quinn.Quinn has to make sure his coaches and position coaches have the players prepared. If there is a change at a starting position as important as center, we have to be prepared for the worst. especially when there are style differences between how the players play. With Person's inconsistencies snapping early in the season, the coaches should have seen this being an issue, and emphasized it. When Stone took over, they had to know the different styles could be an issue. You can't just lazily blame talent, or execution. It was a team failure, and the buck stops with Quinn. Fumbles and dropped passes have plagued us the last couple games. It does not appear we addressed them. We are not improving. We are not learning from our mistakes on our victories, and that caused us a loss. The Saints are a much less talented team, and they dominated us. Coaching is everything. GoFalcons22
yeah, i mean i m sure quinn told teco to fumble on the ten, or told the punt team to give up a block and touchdown. or for dimarco to run in to matt on that fourth down play. or for stone to snap it to himself. man, ya ll are ridiculous with some this ****.The Teco fumble was a heads up play by the defense. He shouldn't be getting ish for it. The rest of em are suspect though.

There is a point when fumbles and special teams mistakes can't simply be blamed on the talent when the same things happen every year for 15 years. It's beyond a joke to allow it to continue to be a major weakness for so long. Kinda like Atlanta never bring serious about bringing in talented OL and pass rushers. Hashbrown3
Listen guys. If anyone here thinks Quinn isn't aware of how emotional a hatefest there is regarding Nawlins, then you're not thinking straight.New Orleans came out with fire in their bellies just like we knew they would. Ultimately, every single disaster that could have happened...did happen. In fact our clown show of giveaways got so pathetic that, at some point, I asked myself if the game was rigged. Without a doubt, it was the most horrible and frustrating falcons game I have ever witnessed. I personally blame the entire team. It's difficult for me to give much credit to an overly average Saints team who did nothing except capitalize on one gift after another. I mean I kept asking myself, OK we dug ourselves a hole and now all we have to do is execute better and eliminate the turnovers and we'll overcome. Instead, we never put two or three positive plays together without a turnover or a miscue. The fact that this crap fest went down on national TV in new orleans again is what sickens me the most. There is no way that Dan Quinn doesn't realize this. He must. I have personally developed such an unsatisfied, deep down hatred of the Saints that it cannot possibly be healthy. We've witnessed one too many of these massive, nationally televised, horrendous Atlanta letdowns in New Orleans. Dan Quinn and his staff must understand just how damaging this is to our City and our team. Unacceptable performance. There are no excuses for that kind of bullchit. When you have a chance to kick the **** out of your arch rival while they're down then you Fing do it. No if's ands or buts. You come out there with flames blazing through your eye sockets and you dominate a weaker team by slamming them to the turf from the first whistle. Fk you falcons! You disappointed a fan base that needed you to make a statement. Especially with a new regime. That not only hurt us deeply but your pathetic attempt last night embarrassed us to no end. If Arthur Blank has any hair on his *** whatsoever, he'll be in camp letting this team understand in no uncertain terms that he has zero tolerance for that type of humiliation at the hands of that filthy organization and that he fully expects to see a 1000% improvement in all future efforts against them.I haven't even begun to fully vent my anger at that performance and it's best that I sign off on this post. Terrible. No excuses. None. All we did is take 5 straight weeks of building this team's reputation to one that was slowly garnering some respect, and pizzed it away down that same ol' famous new orleans sewage drain. I just don't see quin saying during practice all week, "alright guys, I can't stress the importance enough of securing the ball, try not to fumble. And clean snaps are a must. If we fumble, see the saints can get the ball. And try not to let them block a punt. ". It's like the Rangers head coach told Andrus not to make so many errors before the game the other night. FentayeJones
Gotta commend Quinn for that Cooks challenge. I did not see the ball hit the ground. Great job by the coaching staff on that one.The rhetoric leading up to the game has nothing to do with how we played on the field. Quinn's rhetoric did not turn the ball over in the opponent's territory 3 times...Quinn didnt make Hagemen jump offsides on 4th down.Quinn took the game seriously as evidenced by going for it on 4th down on our 1st drive.Just because he didnt spew some Rex Ryan mumbo jumbo about hating the rival blah blah blah doesnt mean he didnt take it seriously.Do you hear Belichek talking like that? Your coach shouldn't change his attitude based on the opponent.Spot on

I just don't get the feeling that it's a focus issue. I think stone is just garbage at center, Coleman, no idea what's going through his head. And I still don't know how we let TEs run wild. I'm sure quin will take the blame and hopefully he takes a no excuses and have some accountability attitude about it.
Lifer
The Saints coaches knew all along that they were going to block a punt as a symbolic gesture. Scary that our coaches didn't see that coming. Even the networks we're giving all sorts of clues with the over and over replays of the blocked punt after Katrina. In not going to count the 4th in that game, since it was mostly backups. The rest of the games, we have looked flat out horrible, but got lucky that the opponents were just as horrible or more.
