Knight of God
Personally I thought he'd be a decent 3rd down back, or even a good to great Utility Back like Kevin Faulk. As of right now he is tied second with yards and leads in rushing TD's IIRC. The kid is awesome.I admit, he doesn't remind me of anything I have ever seen. I see all the comparisons and I'm like...ummmm no. Dude is his own monster right now and people will be comparing theirs to his.Quick question, be honest...who knew he would be this good? Barring Tuggle, most here had no idea. There was one who compared him to Emmitt Smith, but truthfully our line isn't as good as that line. Wouldn't that make Freeman a little better? As far as I know, Tuggle, FF70, Citsalp, Fatboi, and youngbloodz were the only one's who said this kid could carry the load. Knight of God
Just as surprised as you areMan, as far as the Falcons go. I have never been wrong in a good way...lol.
FentayeJones
I thought he would be good but not this good. Freeman has a LOT of heart. That's something you cant measure or predict.
hjerry
Less Kevin Faulk, more Marshall Faulk.
Carl927
This kid is setting it on fire. You'd have to be some kind of bold to make that prediction.
Dem Birds
I'm surprised he's THIS good this soon, but I was on his bandwagon all off season, even as much as I liked Coleman. Just the things I'd heard mixed with the flashes I saw. That and the expectation of the zone blocking scheme. But he's still far passed even my expectations. I didn't think we'd be talking about him in the conversation for best player on our team much less best running back. But I had NO IDEA he was capable of being the work horse he has been. WornOutFalconFan
He has an uncanny ability to make a defender miss IN the hole. Most good backs make people miss one on one in the open field.
Guest facelessman07
I never took the opinions of FSU fans seriously due to bias, but I viewed him as a gadget 5-10 carry back with a couple catches per game. Let's hope it keeps up

FenixFalcon
Dude has talent. It shows in his game.Beggining of the preseason you said you hoped he proved you wrong and that he wasn't the style of back you like...it turns out he is proving anyone who doubted him wrong and he doesn't need a style, he's just destroying teams up the middle, around the edge, through the gaps, on the outside, in the pass game and more. This kid has it all in a back and our Oline and DiMarco has polished him to make him shine like a solid gold hall of famer.
sanfranfalcon
i could see it/the talent last year...couldn't see THIS tho...
TeamPlayer1
Dude has talent. It shows in his game.I liked Freeman but I thought he was a shake and bake shifty runner like a bigger Quizz. I was wrong. When he trucked a couple of Cowboys, I was not expecting that. He is made for the ZBS.

It feels funny to say, but he is the type of runner I traditionally like the very most.
Domed Outter
I probably didn't expect him to have so many carries, albeit circumstances have made for it. Saw signs last year he'd be productive even in limited snaps. Getting better and better.
delaigle
I did not know he would be this good (as he has been so far)But for a few years I've tried to point out the MAJOR problem with the run game was the O-linenot the RBs---I have felt that the run blocking was the problem and that the Falcons had RBs on the team that could actually do fairly well if there was decent run blocking
DonDaLuvMaker
Not only is Freeman hard to deal with as a runner, he is also very productive as a receiving threat as well.Don't be surprised if he ends up as this season's all-purpose yards leader. cnasty
You can see it in his FSU tapes. Dude has good vision and runs violently. He shifty, but doesn't have that last gear to put the defense completely behind him. Only comparison I could even think to make would be something like a slower, tougher version of Arian Foster. That obviously fails to tell the whole story, however.

He is actually BETTER than he was in college, which is extremely rare.
papachaz
I liked it when we drafted him, but have to admit I thought he'd be our change of pace/complimentary to the RBBC guy, never expected anything like what we're seeing right now
Tribal Chief
I told you before via pm that he would be okay during one of our convos. Wasn't quite expecting THIS but a huge step up from the last few years
Gnorts
Apparently he ran this was in college... I thought he was ok but was way more excited about Colman. I have never seen anything like him. The way he runs with his size. Maybe cause defences are smaller to protect the pass, so a 208lb rb can hammer people again.?
dirtybird2k5
What really stands out to me is the fact that his longest run this season is 23 yards while still carrying the ball at a 4,4 yard average. That means he is almost always picking up a positive chunk of yardage, and that is what you need is a consistent running back.
falconstwopercentsized
I knew he was saying the right things" I got that dog in me" stuff like that. I saw flashes but started to doubt he'd put it together after last year. That was obviously silly on my part.
