MAD597
He must really like it here. Vic Carucci ✔@viccarucci #Bills wanted to sign Matt Simms, bc he knows their playbook, but he turned them down. Thinks he has better future on #Falcons PS. 12:56 PM - 13 Oct 2015 http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2015/10/14/9529375/matt-simms-turns-down-bills-roster-spot

zekeyboy1
I would too. Did you see our backup qb's during the preseason?
xiv_T_E_C_O_
I heard this somewhere yesterday, I thought man... When a young guy turns down a roster spot on a team where he's gotta heads up on the playbook for a practice squad gig your harboring a good environment. Also keeping close to a possible HC candidate like Shanny, learning his offense, learning from Matty, those things carry weight too.
DaMeatTroughsEgo
Rex can't develop QBs. Good sign because it probably means he feels he is getting better
GTFalcon25
He's not going to be an immediate starter anywhere, so why not pick the situation where he has the best opportunity to learn. Also, doesn't the PS emulate the offense of the team we're playing that week? That would mean reps against the 1st string defense.
Guest Gritz
Simms has a decent shot at becoming Ryan's backup. He knows that is true if he continues to progress.

Truth B Told (TRU)
I guess there is a smart Simms in the family after all.
Mr. Hoopah!
NFL roster moves are so fluid he would likely only be on the Bills active roster for a week, maybe two, just until Tyrod heals. He'd make more money for that week or two, but then just get cut and have to find his way back to our PS or somewhere else. He's got a stable gig going. Falconsfan567
He has seen the Rex Ryan act and knows that it's a joke. I'd rather spend my time as a practice squad player for a franchise that is actually good with good coaches and players to learn from than with a franchise and coach that is a joke.
