AF89
Rob Ryan has to pick his poison somewhere. With run game next to a sure thing against a very very poor run defense and Julio questionable and Roddy still working things out with Matt, I wonder if we'll see them gameplan for something we've only seen of late situationally and that's a stacked box. Matt could finally see the wide open secondary he hasnt seen since the early days with Turner pounding the rock. Wouldn't be surprised to see solid numbers from Williams or Tamme. We might even see a little of the old Roddy
kiwifalcon
Rob Ryan will blitz he can't help himself. He will commit alot of #ers in the box to stop the run.Personally deep will be open.If they let us run game over for them. Our Ryan is to good with the play action and will kill them. Would be a little ironic revenge for years of how they used Bush and Sproles.
Duff_Man
I'd be concerned if I thought Rob Ryan was a good coach at all. Luckily he isn't, so I expect 30+ Falcon points.

I doubt he can game plan for Ryan, Jones, and Freeman in just a few days.
Malachore
All I know is I really want them to win this game. I'd hate to see the team play like they did on Sunday only to follow it up with a loss to the Taints. It would essentially be 2 bad games in a row and start to be a bit concerning to me. The quick and lazy thing to do is say "Julio's not 100% lets try to take away Freeman then come what may." His defense is sooo bad there isnt alot of options to play with. Carl927
I wonder, at this point, if the taints coaches are just going through the motions. They certainly didn't seem to care much last week.
Hashbrown3
I am looking very much forward to having an offensive coordinator as crafty as shanny calling shots against the aints. I really want to see the saints brass upset and screaming at one another on the sidelines from the massacre on the field. Yep.
FalconFanForLife
I just hope Julio and Hankerson are healthier than last game. Not sure about Hankerson's injury, but Julio was clearly hurting and not 100%

I think you will see us keeping more RB/TE types in to help pick up the blitz.
vel
I don't know what Ryan does to slow us down. He doesn't have any teeth to this defense. Look at the DL. Only threat is Cam Jordan. LBs are sound with Kikaha, Anthony and Ellerbe, but are beatable with a lacking pass rush. The Saints are terrible at stopping the run. I'm talking 31st in the league bad. Their passing defense is 23rd, but they played the Bucs, Panthers, and Romo less Cowboys. Ryan better come off the bus playing better this week. There is no reason we should struggle with this defense. All the years Brees had his way with our defense, time to return the favor.

I think you will see us keeping more RB/TE types in to help pick up the blitz.Throwing a swing pass/checkdown is a lot more effective than trying to have RB/TE stay in to block. Especially with Julio hampered a bit. Hankerson is a deep threat but that's it. Based on the number of receptions Freeman has already I think we will go that route. Matt will kill them with slants to roddy and williams and if they blitz more than we can block a quick outlet to Freeman/Coleman and they are gone. falcndave
If they do commit to the run Ice will have a huge day like he did against them last season. Look for several large pass plays as they will be available to us on Thursday. Who do you like for a deep target? I don't think Julio has his normal explosion right now. White is sharp with patterns, but his speed is average these days. Hankerson is nicked up as well. I really like Nick Williams. He is only getting one target a game, but he is catching it and looking good doing so. The Saints are not good in coverage, so he won't be drawing a top notch cover guy. With the banged up receivers, I also would not be at all surprised if we have Coleman and Freeman on the field at the same time with Freeman split wide occasionally. Mr.11
Last season Matty Ice in our two games against the saints threw for:61-83 73.4% 780 yards 4 TDs 0 INTs We want this and more!Statistically speaking, Matt always plays his best games against the Saints. He's eclipsed 400 yards passing twice playing the Saints; the first time was in New Orleans in 2012 (then a career high), and then again in Atlanta in 2014 (career best and franchise record).
