Our defense needs to pick it up.

First, it's a new defense for them. Second, the job of any defense is stop the run first. They are doing that. The rest will come.

Third, I didn't filter the numbers based on 1st string vs. backups/scrubs.

If I had taken out the numbers put up by Houston when our backups were in -

Total Defense - 6th place instead of 20th - moving us up to #2 on the list.

Pass Defense - 15th place instead of 29th - moving us up to #4 on the list

Scoring Defense - 6th place instead of 15th - moving us up to #4 on the list.

I need to see some sacks before I get excited over this defense. But overall, it's a huge difference from last year.

How many of our wins would you trade for 20 more sacks this year?

How about the touchdowns by defense - we lead the league there - would you give those up for the 20 more sacks?
