brown bomber
The #Falcons are the first team in @NFL history to start 5-0 with four of those wins coming after trailing at some point in the 4th quarter.

alphaville
There were tweets that said that we statistically had a 2.7% chance at going 5-0. Guess it wasn't such a cake walk.

Guest Dirty Bird Nation ®
How does that prepare us for playoff football?Well if we struggle to beat the rest of the teams on our schedule then we better prepare for a 1st round loss in playoffs. jlrfalcon
Well if we struggle to beat the rest of the teams on our schedule then we better prepare for a 1st round loss in playoffs.Actually, I would think the team that goes all year without feeling any competition or need to make a late comeback would struggle more in the playoffs than one that has built up the mental toughness and had the late game comebacks as practice.Ryan is good in the 4th quarter consistently because he has had to do it so many times in his career. If we can do those comebacks when the other teams are playing exceptionally well, but if we can try to limit our own inconsistent play then I think we'll be golden. Point is, we cannot afford our players to be playing inconsistently going into the playoffs.

All I want us to do is play hard, and FINISH, and most of the time we'll get the result we want (as Smitty would say). And by the way, who the heck is Rand Getlin??? Never heard of him ---
Falconsfan567
I'll never understand this mindset that if you don't have a bunch of blowouts during the season you somehow can't have success in the playoffs. It's silly.Which team is better? The Falcons or Cardinals? The Cardinals have wins by the score of 48-23, 47-7 and 42-17 this year. But the one game where they actually got challenged they lost 22-24. I don't know about you guys but Id rather have the confidence of knowing that when my team gets challenged that they can pull out a victory.Ugly wins over pretty losses every day!! Seriously! I mean, this is the same crap that people deal with about Matt Ryan. They'd rather Matt Ryan throw 4 touchdowns, no interceptions and the Falcons lose 42-38 than Matt Ryan throw no touchdowns and 2 interceptions and the Falcons win 25-19 in OT. I'll never understand this mindset.
TheFatboi
Need more Texans like games than these nail biters.Nail biters are the games that show you what the team is made of. The character and mentality. Blow outs can be misleading. Teams that pull out the ugly wins are championship caliber teams.

PriMeTiiMe
We did everything we could to try and give this game away and still found a way to win.2 Missed FGs, 2 Turnovers in Scoring Position, another Turnover deep in our own territory. Mutliple drops throughout the game. Terrible PI call which gift wrapped the Redskins 6 points. Awful Calvin Johson rule that overturned a TD. We even managed to fumble but luckily recover it for a TD.Everything went against us this game and we still beat a solid squad. The Redskins were the Top ranked Rushing Offense and a top ranked defense and we put up 418 yards on them while only allowing 270 with a season low of 55 rushing yards to them. If not for shooting ourselves in the foot we would have beaten the **** out of them.Time to get back on track and lay a 40 burger on the sorry azz Saints! EJmusic
I was so confident all game we were gonna win all the way up till they called back devontas TD. Right after that I thought it just wasn't meant to be. Thank goodness I was wrong.
Hometownfan
We've won 4 of our 5 games by coming back to win in the 4th quarter. That's great! But, someday the narrow difference between winning and losing will come back to bite us. We have to be better in attacking the opposing team and, like the Texans' game, build up an unsurmountable lead before the 4th Quarter.
