Roddy White "i'm A Falcon For Life"

I hate the need for the media to create crap out of nothing. I hate that sports media has become more about gossip and stirring up crap then actual sports and on the field action. Sick of it and I hate RW got caught up in all of this.

the media wouldn't have anything without a player or coach feeding them anything. Roddy made his comments, media did what they did. Roddy back tracked, media kept it going. It's their job. Like it or not you can't deny Roddy always gives the media something to talk about

I'm not buying it you can see in the interview he's looking down not his usual self especially after a win. The only thing that will keep Roddy around is Julio and Hank not being able to stay healthy and probably his 5 million dollar salary.

My personal view I don't agree with how this is being handled Shanahan could include Roddy in the offense with short passes and using him around the end zone. He saved or *** yesterday on 4&2 in traffic with 3 guys around him he can still make plays.

Not using Roddy is actually hurting Matt by locking on a less than healthy Julio. Plus Hankerson is no WR2 he's a WR3 at best.

I think they are misusing him at this stage of his career. He isn't as quick anymore, but he can still catch the dang thing. Julio and Hank can do the deeper routes, Vonta as the check down valve, and roddy on the shorter routes and you've got weapons everywhere.

Yeah, this new "myth" that's being floated around that Roddy hasn't grasped Shanahan's offense or isn't a natural factor in Shanahan's scheme is garbage.

How many coordinators has Roddy had to adapt to and learn their respective playbooks?

Roddy didn't forget how to play the game. If watch the game closely you will see that he is open many times when Ryan is trying to force it to Julio, Hank or Tamme.

It's making me angry now because this offense could be operating more smoothly if Roddy was getting some early looks.

Your already seeing safeties cheat over to Julio more because Ryan's not looking at Roddy even when he is wide open and teams will pick up on this quickly.

I think it's fair to say Roddys route running had been poor. I understand at this age it won't be as sharp as it use to but it feels like we are getting to the point where the route combos need to help roddy get open and that's just not going to happen with Julio on the other side.

He needs to stop rounding off his routes and shut his mouth and play. I attribute some of the offensive lack of cohesiveness because of the crap he pulled this week.

Rowdy did not start this $4it storm. He has not said anything that would indicate that he is being disruptive.

Having said that, I too have noticed that he is rounding his routes off. This is very much unlike Roddy. He has lived by his route-running precision and it would be a shame to see him finish his career in a sloppy manner.

I think that this garbage will blow over soon. I also think that Roddy will be targeted more often and return to his role on this offense.....a clear option for the first down.

I agree that Roddy is special and I also had a great feeling when the Fans cheered after his catch. As much as I wish Roddy would get more action it is what it is during game time. Shanahan has his plan he will implement

in spite of how certain Fans feel. The end goal is to win the game. If everyone who comments here were the GM., Head coach or coordinator of the team each would do something different to get the end goal.

Julio isn't 100% healthy and I am sure Roddy's role will be more. For me if a player makes a difference in one play during a game that helps the team make its goal and does nothing else the rest of the game, you probably can go back and look at that one play and say, if not for that we would have lost. I agree the media pushed the issue, but the answer to that is always actions on the field during the game to end the media's hunger. If the Falcons were o and 4 going into the game, no one would have cared. If you can win without Roddy or Julio getting a lot of yardage in pass receptions or Ryan having a bad day, or the defense not putting a lot of pressure on the opposing Quarterback, that tells you a lot about the guts and spirit of the team today compared to last year.

Some of you probably read in an earlier post yesterday that Matt Ryan was overheard telling Roddy to 'do his job and the ball will find him.'

Suggest that perhaps Roddy has not been running his usual crisp routs which becomes more important when he loses a step on defenders. Roddy can adjust to what age has taken if he will really work at it. Matt has gone to him too much in the past to ignore him now if he can find the open zones.
