Washington Post: Shanahan May Be "once-In-A-Generation" Coach

Let's not oversimplify, it is always a game of chess between what the offense and defense are doing. Both trying to exploit each others weaknesses with their strength.

Most teams just don't have the luxury to exploit you any more than just being "balanced" by forcing you to respect what they're good at, and open up what they aren't as good at.

But isn't that kind of what Shanny Jr has done so far? Forced them to respect the teams biggest threat, and killed them on the ground and with open guys when they do?

I've seen some great play calling, but let's not forget that Ryan, Julio and Freeman have made it easy.

Shanny is great, but this offense is his wet dream.

Well we've had two OC's that messed up a WET dream; just sayin!

The weapons he got in Atlanta will make ANY decent offensive coordinator look good.........Now, Kyle HAS shown me creativity that i didnt think he had. He was limited in Washington and Cleveland because of lack of talent. So, overall, he is a keeper, a good coordinator. Glad the Falcons got him.

That's what I keep saying about him, the players are making him, not him making the players. He has really good players to work with, and his stuff is making them even better. If he goes to a team as Head Coach that doesn't have the kind of players we have, he's not going to have the same results he had here. Did he turn the O in Cleveland into anything special? No. They don't have the players we do. Better suited as a coordinator on a team with really good players right now than as a head coach, unless he went to the Colts, since they have Luck.

I'm thrilled to have him. Shanahan is one of the top three OC's in the league imo. Just hope he stays around long enough for us to get a Lombardi Trophy...or two, or three. I have no doubt he can keep this offense playing at a Super Bowl-winning level as long as we have all our weapons healthy.

He needs to wait and be patient, he can have his pick of teams to coach.. I would love to see him succeed unless it's against the Falcons.
