Yea I play about 5-10 bucks a week, nothing serious. LOL does make those uninteresting games a little more interesting, Calvin's fumble/Non TD probably cost me $50 bucks. **** I've won more than I ever do on Lotto though.

A couple weeks ago I was in line to win 4 dollars and then the Chiefs/Packers MNF game screwed that up and I ended up with nothing.

I just posted this thread for the discussion of it. Not being I feel like I need others input on which players I select. I'm not looking to make a career out of this. Don't guess I would be that lucky. LOL!

sorry if I came across wrong I just hate to see people making money off others (if everyone was on the same playing field it would be different)

I have never played fantasy football... I'm doing one $3 line up a week...

I made $6,600 this year on fantasy baseball so just trying to learn the ropes of looking at and picking match ups in football. Playing baseball my entire life it just makes more sense to me on a different level than football...

That's pretty **** good if you ask me, baseball is fun once I learned the value of a dominate pitcher.

I'm doing okay on baseball just started the first of September, but college football is kicking my ***, all those spread offenses etc. etc. so I am going very light there. LOL think I know more about the NFL which is probably not a good thing either.

My friends and I have designed an app that's similar to FanDuel/DK, but it's free. The game is called FanBeat. It's a mobile app that you can download for iPhone or Android at www.fanbeat.com/falcons/.

Unlike other fantasy sites, FanBeat lets you predict the action in real-time as you're watching the Falcons game. Who will catch the Falcons' first pass? Will Freeman have a rushing TD today? Will the Falcons score a TD on defense or special teams? etc. You get points for correct answers and can win prizes like Falcons tickets, Falcons merchandise, or Starbucks cards. It's designed for hard-core fans like the guys on this board.

If you're playing on iPhone, make sure you've got the latest update to iOS 9.0.2. We will be running our next game Sunday vs. the Redskins and it's completely FREE to play. I really think the guys that like playing FanDuel or DraftKings will like our game as well. Try it out!

Baseball is all about being able to see streaks in players by way of match ups... A good batter / pitcher match up can set a player off on a two-five game streak and if you can pick those up you can get huge points... Likewise, getting off a player when they will put up the inevitable dud games is also crucial...

I'm trying to catch that in football but think I might be trying to do too much. Hence my Palmer pick this week, I think the Lions are going to come out and remain flat knowing their season is over and that they are all still talking about the penalty causing them to give up that game.

I like Palmer a lot he is spreading the ball around Fitzgerald is playing well, like Brown and Floyd and they are getting the running game going a bit.

It's funny I played Jeremy Hill the first 3 weeks the dropped him in the 4th when he was a top producer, I'm all over the board I probably play too many line ups and need to consolidate into just a few.

Yep, that's my luck too. See a high playing well, play him and he sucks. Drop him and he goes back to playing good. Just typical BS.

I didn't pick Palmer because the Cardinals OL isn't very good and the Lions showed against the Seahawks that they can handle a bad OL.

Last week was my first time winning over 2-3 bucks. I was sitting on $150 and climbing early on but Quinn sat one of my big point players because of the blowout. I ended up winning $37 when it was all said and done. Not much but it was good for a $5 investment lol.

Yea its addicting watching those money totals climb but stinks when they drop, for example was up as high as $50 today/tonight but as the game go on it's dropped to 12 LOL. USC killed my Thursday/Friday College football LOL now I'm counting on a single Southern Miss WR to get about 25 points LOL.

I play $100 a week on these sites. Have yet to win or lose money. It's win lose win lose. Can't help but to think how easy it would be for these sites to grab the highest scorers of the day and create a profile with those player that wins the big prizes each week. They already take 9-10% of the pool which seems high for as much money as they take in. Really needs regulation.

I'm up $150 when you throw in the extra $100 they gave with my deposit I'm up comfortably, and that includes a few weeks at the beginning without any wins. Definitely has to be some over site, this latest news where employees were using insider info and playing on competitors sites is probably the straw that breaks the camels back. Very surprised the sports leagues didn't bring that issue up. makes you wonder what else they my have missed. I'm watching carefully, just too much money being thrown around somebody had to muck it up.

Enjoy it while it's still legal. They are being investigated for fraud and there are some lawmakers already looking to drop the hammer on them.

It's pretty dumb that this is legal when online poker or online sports books are not.

With this last story I'd imagine there is blood in the water. While it seems beyond traditional point shaving obviously when there is that much money ivolved somebody is going to try and figure out a way to get an edge. Going to be even more interesting because the sports leagues have seemed to embrace it if not out right endorse it.

Here's a letter I just got in an email from Draft Kings.

AUTiger1,

As the three co-founders of DraftKings, we want to speak to you directly about what has been going on.

We know that you play DraftKings because it's fun and because it gives you a chance to showcase your skills against millions of other fans, and we know that you cannot do that without a level playing field.

The fairness and integrity of our contests has been at the heart of everything we have built since we started the company three and a half years ago.

Over the past week, questions have arisen around an employee of ours who won a significant prize on a competitor's site. While our internal investigation has reflected absolutely no wrongdoing on his part, this has still pushed us to reevaluate our processes.

Long before this happened, the wheels were in motion for an external review of our policies and procedures. Given the pace of our growth, we felt that an audit was critical to ensure the security of our platform, so we hired an external law firm experienced with these issues to conduct a full review.

But that is not enough. In addition to this audit, we have put in place a set of core measures that we believe are central to this process:

  • We expanded our existing policy prohibiting DraftKings employees from playing on our site to prohibit participation in any public daily fantasy sports contests for money.
  • We also will prohibit employees from any other Daily Fantasy Sports contest operator from participating in games on DraftKings.
  • We are actively reviewing our organizational structure and will add resources to ensure compliance with all recommendations stemming from internal and external findings.
  • We are working with multiple third parties to strengthen all internal policies and procedures.

The events of the past week have caused us to take a broader look and to ask those both here and externally to widen the scope of their analysis of our business.

We are aware that there is room for growth, regardless of the strength of our current platform. We will work tirelessly to improve all aspects of our customer experience, which is every bit as important to us as the effort we put into our product.

You will no doubt continue to hear from the media about both DraftKings and the industry. It is our prerogative to keep driving that conversation ourselves. We will work to respond to your concerns in complete transparency and to inform you of the steps we are taking to inspire your full trust.

Please know how grateful we are for the passion and loyalty you have shown DraftKings throughout our history and especially over the past week. You remain our greatest priority.

Thank you,

Jason Robins, Matt Kalish & Paul Liberman
Co-Founders, DraftKings

Endorse it? The NFL is invested in it.

I'm not going to moralize here, but this is gambling, pure and simple regardless of what the current law says. And the NFL, along with the other major sports leagues are balls deep into daily fantasy which has zero regulation or oversight. You don't need to be Miss Cleo to see that this was coming.
