MLB Trade Rumors has posted their arbitration estimates, which in the past have proven to be pretty accurate. Here's the estimates for the Braves (service time in parentheses):

Mike Minor (4.138) – $5.6MM
Pedro Ciriaco (3.049) – $800K
Shelby Miller (3.030) – $2.6MM
Arodys Vizcaino (2.168) – $1.1MM
Chris Withrow (2.132) – $600K
I predict the Braves will come to agreements with each of these guys prior to numbers getting filed. Minor and Ciriaco are the likeliest non-tenders, but I think the Braves bring them both back.

You fire Fredi Gonzalez. In his place, you hire a manager who pays attention to statistics. You hire a manager who believes that the best way to teach a young team to win is to put that young team in the best possible position to win. He provides leadership by being a leader, not by sprinkling "leaders" throughout the starting lineup. He does the little things, like never starting corner outfielders who field like a DH and hit like a bad DH. He gives the highest spots/most at-bats in the lineup to the players who make the least outs. He puts on shifts for players who pull the ball 95% of the time. He doesn't waste one of his 27 allotted outs unless it's absolutely necessary. He stands behind his young pitchers both privately and publicly, even when they're tiring at the end of the longest baseball season they've ever played in their lives. He uses analytics, refusing to be seduced by surface numbers, digging deeper to study a player's performance in reference to the things he can actually control. He keeps his bullpen fresh, using a pitcher as that pitcher's statistical history would suggest, ignoring "gut feelings" that usually get his pitcher destroyed/injured. He ignores conventional wisdom when appropriate and uses conventional wisdom when it suggests things like "don't pitch the same relief pitcher five times a week every week of the season" and "don't give players who can't hit a regular spot in the lineup".
In short, this new manager does a few things Fredi Gonzalez would do and a lot of things Fredi Gonzalez would not.
Congratulations. You have constructed a major league baseball team capable of winning major league baseball games. You are a good general manager of the Atlanta Braves.

YES PLEASE!?!?

Way to take my post totally out of context. You sure you don't work for ESPN?

It's the way the business works. It's not new. And yes, if I got hurt at my job, my employers better make sure I have a position back when I recover, and I sure has **** better not get a paycut.

That's not the way baseball works though. I fully expect Mike Minor to either be non-tendered that way the Braves don't have to risk him going to arbitration like he did last year or for them to make sure he agrees to a contract before hand where his base salary will be lower and he'll have to earn the total he would have gotten in arbitration. That is what I meant by that comment.

There was absolutely no reason for you to get snippy about it. For some reason you've appear to be more on edge lately.

Eh, he was given a chance. He's a 5th outfielder.

The Angels waived Jo-Jo Reyes to make room for Cunningham. Bring him home Cappy!

Yeah at this point Cunningham is just good depth. He's a very good glove to have in the OF but he's not going to give you much with the bat. He got nearly 100 ABs this year.

Cunningham is a solid #4 or #5 outfielder for a good team. Great defense, good baserunning and OBP skills. That's exactly the type of guy I want coming off the bench as my #4 or #5 outfielder.

I am fond of Cunningham as well. Hate to see him go. At his cost, idk if we can find a better guy to fill a spt nunbered 22-25 next year.
