Clark Kent™
So... How can you throw around the phrase "Power House" if you do not have a historic base? I did not go on and on about Philadelphia being a preseason Favorite, I mentioned it.And... let's just end this silly debate. How about we do it this way... Team by team.Lets start with Common Opponent Houston.Carolina 24 - 17 Atlanta 48 - 21. Both games with the Same players and home games. Oh and since you like to talk about missing players, Houston Had their #1 RB they DID NOT have against Carolina. Now comparison teams. With your point of view that would assumeJacksonville is Equal to Philadelphia.Tampa Bay is Equal to New York Giants.OR you can twist this as well and switch the Match ups. Finally, like I stated before Saints and Cowboys W/o their Starting QBs. Falcons start slow and Dominant(which of course you couldn't deny earlier) vs. Carolina that had to hold on to win by 5.Now, back to my Tasty Burger...Since when does power house mean it has to have a strong history of winning? I was talking about this season and this season only. Power House wouldn't even apply in this argument because every season is different. So why would i mean it like that? Lol you can't mention that Philly was a preseason SB favorite because that is 100% Irrelevant. Regardless, if you went on and on about it or not. Its still irrelevant. And thats exactly what you did, and then tried to tell me i couldn't use past seasons records (which i wasn't anyways). And judging teams based on common opponents? No thanks. How about we do it this wayThe Falcons and Panthers are both 4-0. The Falcons have won their games in a more convincing/dominating fashion, but both teams have had rather soft schedules. Now back to my tasty burrito

1989Fan
Ryan>Newton, Falcons OL>Panthers OL, Jones>any CAR WR, White>any CAR WR, Hankerson > any CAR WR....Olsen> any ATL TE, CAR DL> ATL DL, ATL DBs> CAR DBs. RBs are close. (sorry, on this browser I cannot seem to format posts.)
MAD597
Yep, they have had a cupcake schedule so far and have not looked great getting to 4-0 against some of the worst teams in the NFL. Talent and coaching wise they are an 8-8 team with an easy schedule. We have gone through the toughest part of our schedule and it is pretty much smooth sailing from here. Panties are in for a rude awakening when they play some good teams like us.

This isn't college football lol. I haven't tried to discredit your points. I just pointed out your hypocrisy by trying to tell me to not use last years stats when you yourself were the one who used Phillys preseason SB favorite and Dallas as an NFC Champ Contender etc. I have supported my view in an extremely simple manner that even you can understand.Dallas without Romo and Dez and Weeden at QB = not a great winTexans with Mallet at QB and no Foster at home = not a great winPhilly at home where we dominate the first half and almost lose the game at the end = not a great winAt New York Giants = our best winIn summary: Our wins are more convincing/impressive than the Panthers, but neither of our schedules have been that hard. Hows that Tasty burger right about now?
JD dirtybird21
I'm impressed to be honest. They have a really good front 7 and with the emergence of Josh Norman they have a legit guy in the backend.Cam Newton also has impressed me he seems more mature in my eyes and will do whatever it takes to win. There also well coached they play to there strengths. The secret for us to get out in front of these guys so the have to run us down then for me the balance is definitely in our favour.Newton had a very average game yesterday. He's completeing 55% of his passes on the season against bad opponents. I'm calling it now, the Panthers will be 5-3 after their next 4 games and finish the season 8-8. Remember that these players are still gelling and building chemistry. They look better every weekIt depends at the perspective you look at it. Yeah any win is technically a good win. And especially a dominating win is always good to see, but i would rather see us beat Cinci by 3 at home than beat Houston by 20 something. I'm just looking at it from the level of the opponent. Mallet sucks as does Hoyer. As does Weeden. So its hard for me to just love beating those guys.

And for the record, you went on and on about "power house", not me... They were contradictions that i called you out on. Or are you saying that you did not contradict yourself? I can copy and paste the quotes if you would like...And yes i know Foster played in the game. I mentioned it earlier that he played. Accidentally said he wasn't when i was thinking about Romo and Dez being out for Dallas. And it was his first game back. And he did get shut down. As did their entire offense led by Ryan Mallet. I must be different because i don't get so excited when we shut down a RB in his first game back from a serious injury and a bad QB behind center. The reason i haven't "brought anything to the table" is because i never said our schedule was weaker than Carolinas. Feel free to go back and read where i said our schedule was weaker. I said both teams didn't have that tough of games....If common opponent is a good barometer to use then how come its NEVER used in the NFL for anything lol. Seems like you may be lacking a little common sense here my man. No one ever uses common opponents when comparing teams. Why would they? Are playoff seedings done by that? No. So explain its use? I'll save you some time. There is none. Each week is different. Different teams matchup with different opponents. End of story as far as "common opponents" go. Clark Kent™
Ok, your right.. you have Not brought any facts to the table to support your Argument.. lolWel lets see here...My argument was The Falcons have won their games in a more dominating fashion than the Panthers have won their games, BUT neither team has played a very difficult schedule...And to support that idea i explained:Cowboys (2-2) without Tony Romo and Dez Bryant and starting Brandon WeedenTexans (1-3) with Ryan Mallet (who was pulled from the game) and a banged up Arian FosterPhilly (1-3) at home where we almost gave the game up in the 2nd halfGiants (2-2) in New York which was our best win in my opinion. Lol @ using "Common Opponents". And you also can't say a team we beat is = to a team they beat. For example, they beat the Buccaneers who suck, but does that mean that it wasn't a tougher game? Everyone knows division games can be more difficult, which is just one reason why "common opponents" is a horrible barometer in some cases. MAD597
The panthers have played the 4 worst teams in the NFL to get to 4-0. We have only played 1 of the worst teams in the NFL to get to 4-0 and we destroyed them. The Panthers looked worse against the worst 4 teams than we have in our first 4 games. Its evident by this comment you just sat there and made "And my point, as previously stated was that the Falcons Schedule, so far, has been "harder" than Carolina which you Just admitted."And once again..... i never said Carolina did not have a soft schedule or even softer than Atlanta's. I said that both have not had difficult schedules. BOTH.I did not go into any more detail than that for either teams strength of schedule. Not sure why you would even make that comment "Which you just admitted", as if i said anything to the contrary of that? Just one of your many reading comprehension mistakes my friend.
