PriMeTiiMe
Am I the only one that is not impressed at all by the Panthers? Media is hyping up Cam Newton as an MVP candidate and riding the Panthers bandwagon these days. I get it, They are the 2-time defending NFC South Champs. But lets actually look at what they have done.First, Lets take a look at their schedule that got them to 4-0.Win by 11 @ Jacksonville (The same team that just lost to 75 year old Matt Hasselback) Win by 7 vs Houston (The Same team we just demolished 42-0 before pulling all starters) Win by 5 vs New Orleans (Without Drew Brees and still got torched by McClown) Win by 14 @ Tampa Bay (Having the Most fluke TD of the 2015 season + Do I need to really explain how pathetic the Succs are?)If you had to list 10 of the worst teams in the NFL is their any doubt all 4 of those teams would be listed? Now lets take a look at what the Panthers have coming up...The next 4 are @ Seattle, Philadelphia, Indianapolis and Green Bay. Ouch! They might win the Philly and Indy games but they are getting taken to the shed against Seattle and Green Bay as Carolinas Offense is trash and will not be able to do anything vs Seattle defense or keep pace with the Green Bay offense. On top of that they have to play @ Dallas later in the year with Dez and Romo back and @ New York Giants who are getting better and better. Then the icing on the cake is still having to play us twice and @ New Orleans with Drew Brees this time.Meanwhile we have about as soft a schedule as a babys ***.Keep on riding the Panthers bandwagon media, I hope it doesnt hurt too much when the wheels fall off. I really don't care who they had to beat to go to 4-0 and how, as long as our Falcons beats them twice.
kiwifalcon
I'm impressed to be honest. They have a really good front 7 and with the emergence of Josh Norman they have a legit guy in the backend.Cam Newton also has impressed me he seems more mature in my eyes and will do whatever it takes to win. There also well coached they play to there strengths. The secret for us to get out in front of these guys so the have to run us down then for me the balance is definitely in our favour. Tribal Chief
Haven't watched them actually play to form an opinion. They're doing something right
Dregenfox
Cam will get injured eventually, it happens to every single quarterback who plays like him. Also in the TB game the panthers were gifted both a fluke fumble TD and 3 interceptions. Should have honestly been a blow-out. Norman is definitely shaping up to be a really good corner though. dirtybird2k5
Roll=slowed. Them Panthers ain't no joke. You know that kid, Josh Norman? The guy is legit.
TheFatboi
Gotta be impressed when Cam has basically been playing with only one weapon. Olsen.
FalconsFanSince194eva
You play who is on your schedule I can't blame the schedule for them being 4-0. 4 Sunday's in a row they were the better team on the field agasint their opponent. quotemokc
All you need to do is go on carolinahuddle and see how up themselves they are and how much they talk us down.Constantly saying we have only beaten bad teams even though they have only beaten even worse teams less impressively.Numerous threads about how they are atop the NFCS even though that is only because they have played the Bucs and Saints.I don't get this Newton MVP talk either, he has played probably par for the course for a decent QB which since it is him is getting way over hyped.Norman is very good and I hope he chases bigger money at a different team next year. mashburn*Fibonacci
Well, they are 4-0 and we are 4-0. I really don't care who they had to beat to go to 4-0 and how, as long as our Falcons beats them twice. this
dirtybird2k5
You can only play the teams on the schedule. The Panthers are gonna be a fight all the way to the finish. We are gonna get their best, and we are gonna give them our best. And we still can't overlook the Saints. Yeah, their team is garbage right now, but they'd love to knock us off our pedestal, especially after today. This division is gonna be a fight. xiv_T_E_C_O_
They are very impressive. They have been decimated by injuries on both sides of the ball and have managed to stay undefeated. Not to mention the fact that last years defensive mvp hasn't even seen the field since week 1. Major, major props on their early success. Ezekiel 25:17
Bottomline is.... We take Care of our own Business, we win the Division. End of Story!P.S. How good they are will be proved out over the season as their Schedule is going to get tougher VERY soon.
Clark Kent™
Its not like we beat some real power houses to get to 4-0 either OP. And the Panties have done it without Kelvin Benjamin and Luke Keuchley. Not worried about them though. Cam won't ever win a SB because he's a headcase. Flyin' In DC
I have heard several "experts" say that they dont believe in the Panthers long term. Right now it is Cam carrying the whole offense basically by himself.I think the 2 matchups at the end of the season will build to be 2 very good games.Cam seems to be a little more mature. But they are 4-0 and everything is hunky-dory. Let's see if can maintain that composure when they lose a few games
Door Gunner
They are 4-0 and atop the NFCS for now cuz of div wins. It is what it is. However Cam for MVP is kind of a joke. If its not ARod it's going to be Tommy.
PHALCONABERNATHY
Say what you want but the bragging right belong to them right now. They're the ones who demolished us last year and were the first team in the south to win back to back championships. We need to play with a chip on our shoulder vs. them and the Saints. If we're the big bad team we've shown we can be we need to really put a shellacking on them both.
Carl927
Great teams blow bad teams out. Mediocre teams eke out a win while both teams blow. It's still early, but Atlanta is passing the eye test so far. Carolina isn't.

DonDaLuvMaker
Josh Norman didn't just emerge this season. He was really good last season as well, but a losing record despite winning the NFC South overshadowed his game to most realizing it. duncja
I haven't heard anyone talking about Cam as potential MVP, just Rodgers. That bears aid, Carolina doesn't have any offensive talent right now, and has been without Kuechley for 3 weeks, and still winning. They're good. Duff_Man
The Panthers offense is pretty anemic. They are 30th in the NFL in passing (no real surprise there since Newton is not a good passer). They are leaning on Jonathan Stewart who hasn't been healthy since 2011, yet he is getting a career high in attempts per game. The defense is playing better than expected, but they haven't hit a really potent offense yet. Thanks to league parity, the Falcons' schedule is way easier in the immediate future than theirs. By the time we meet in Week 14, it might not even matter.
knomercy
Only on the Falcons' message board will you find an OP dogging a hated rival & pages of replies from other "fans" hand-wringing & doing their best to defend said rival. You folks treat destroying optimism like its your JOB, like Matt Ryan himself is going to come here, read this post & say "Well I gues the Panthers suck so I can stop preparing for them."F**k the Panties -- paper champion frauds who can barely hang with some of the worst teams in football. They'll be exposed soon.
