Jj Watt Is A Beast But......

Recommended Posts

I really only saw him make two plays that mattered for anything. As far as Clowney, did he play today? I'm just thinking how all the Texan fans talked about how dominated we'd be by those two and how Ryan would be running for his life. Only times I saw Matt running, he hit targets downfield for big gains.

I do remember Clowney running right at Matt Ryan, Matt throwing up a prayer and Devonta coming down with it for a gain of like 3.

And Watt had a sack and a few swatted passes. Really shocked by how bad Wilfork was though.

good post op. watt will always get his. I can't watch the game until after all the 4pm games are completed. But 1 sack and a few plays in the backfield are about as well as one can do against JJ. He's unblockable basically 1 on 1. I'm proud of the team.

As for Clowney... well... maybe he'll get it together against another squad. Today he was very average.

The Texans message board is in panic mode. They still don't understand just how good Atlanta's offense is. The offense was this good last year but they had to play with handcuffs on. This coach turns the offense loose and I love it!

Nah they weren't the oline couldn't run block or pass block they could offer matt a hand to help him up after matt got knocked on his *** making the completion.

I told yall there secondary was avg beyond joesph, yes I know they had some injuries but they were already getting toasted before keenan left, and besides cushing their lb group is very weak. Brooks reed was one of their best tacklers and now he is on our team, cant wait for him to fully get his legs under him

I think that JJ Watt and Andrew Luck this year are great examples of how football is a team sport.

You don't have a good supporting cast or good coaching, and it doesn't matter how good you are.

I think Andrew Luck is a poor example in this, because he is one of the most overhyped football players in the NFL. He wasn't ever really all that good. The guy got a lot of lucky bounces.

Look no farther than your own quarterback, Mr. Matt Ryan.... and his 10-22 record the last two years. Team sport.

Watt is a beast. Period. I saw him making an impact early on.

However, games like this can maybe get all the Julio critics (who are kind of quiet at the moment) to shut up about how we could have had Watt and XYZ. You build a good team and that's how you win. JJ Watt is one of the best players in the game but it hasn't translated to anything close to a SB, etc. for Houston because he's just one man. It was always a silly argument to me when people suggested that if we had Aldon Smith, or JJ Watt we'd have been in better shape than if we had Julio.
