atlking
Im looking at the schedule, and i know its STILL early, but the Falcons winning 12 or more games THIS season isnt a reach. The board consensus was around 10 wins BEFORE the season started. Looking at the schedule, they have to go on the road back to back against New Orleans and Tennessee. I think the Tennessee game, on the road, coming off the long wait after the thursday New Orleans game, could be a problem, because of momentum that could be lost. At Carolina in the first game between them, coming off a road trip to Tampa Bay, could be a problem. I know, thats 14 wins, lol. Im looking at 12-14 wins as being reasonable. I know some things have to go their way, but, ON PAPER, this could be a monster season............. Tuggle'2
Not a fan of all this easy talk thats been going on around here, but I am pretty optimistic about this team. They are really buying into what Coach Quinn and crew are selling and so am I. Our schedule and its wins and losses will be what they are and we'll lose whatever game we just so happen to lose. I just hope when and if we do lose one coming up that everyone keeps a rational head and the bottom doesn't drop out around here.
raysnill1
now THIS is what I wanna see!!I'm tired of the "such & such makes me nervous" & "don't sleep on blah blah" posts. if we lose a game we lose but dang support the team because anything is possible

Leggggggo
I have two more days to enjoy being 3-0...Then I have to stress for about 12 hours (since it's a 1pm game) about being 4-0...How the **** can you guys emotionally handle looking at the entire schedule?! I think my heart would explode...

If the Falcons first loss is in game 14 because they've already clinched number 1 seed and sat all the starters, people are going to panic.Frankly, I'm rooting for the Falcons next loss to be in the 2016 preseason. DixieTwister
ONE.......game.......at........a........time.Please.Frankly I love the enthusiasm of the OP and others and embrace and refuse to criticize it. I lean more toward Bring It's train of thought and DQ's philosophy. With every game, every opponent has more film to evaluate our strengths and weakness though and try to exploit. And we can't forget about intangibles. Let's just enjoy where we are, prepare for the Texans forget about naysayers and put the Texans away for now. This isnt a smoke and mirror team like that 2012 team. These are LEGIT wins, which the Falcons TOOK by being physical. Its not fancy scheming on the defense, its just enforcing their will on the opponent. A team like that can win against anybody.....
Realsurfin
I was looking at the schedule last week and thought it was a present from the Football Gods. But lets see how the season progresses. It is still too early to see if teams that stumbled the first few games, or got hit with an injury are going to recover or not.GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooFalcons! Hit and Runnnnnnn! We're fans....the "easy talk" doesn't really affect the outcomes of the games at all, now if the team was walking around saying this, I'd be right there with you. And judging by the first 1/2 half of the Dallas game when everyone was sh***** their pants (including myself), a real loss will shut this board down for hours. The Grumbling Grouches, who have been by and large silent for the last three weeks, will come storming back with a vengeance, screaming that their prophecy of DOOM was now coming to pass. On the one hand it will be sickening, but on the other hand it might be highly entertaining.
falconsrus
I just wanted to sweep the NFC East and South and win two other games.Thinking that would get us in postseason play for sure, now I am thinking we may do better

FalconJim
Honestly, I can see us being 9-0 at the bye, depending on how Breesus is playing when we play the Taints in week 6 --- other than that, I'm a little nervous about the two games right after the bye, Indy & Minnesota. I know we're at home for those two games, but either one of those teams could come up with a big game, and beat us. Then the Carolina game at their place, could be a tough contest! Honestly, I see us winning 11 or 12 games, and the NFC South. After that, who knows ---Yeah, "WE READY"!!!
Sponge
I started the season off thinking we could go 10-6 but now I feel 13-3 is a real possibility.

falconidae
Funny how you said you saw 6-10 a month ago. 1 whole month agoThat's why I can't take these threads seriouslyA month ago was the middle of the preseason, with new coaches, new schemes, a new Oline, there was no way to tell what the record would be. After 3 weeks, 10+ wins, assuming reasonably good health, seems realistic.

Yet you had many of the same people calling doom & gloom like they always do. A month ago the poster was calling for Shanny's head. A month ago people were overreacting. A month ago we had secured another top 5 pick. A month ago Mike Smith should've never been fired. How do you expect me to take them seriously? Answer: you can'tBut hey, what if TD got it right, right?

DownvoteDon
Looking at the schedule, they have to go on the road back to back against New Orleans and Tennessee. I think the Tennessee game, on the road, coming off the long wait after the thursday New Orleans game, could be a problem, because of momentum that could be lost.I don't condone antagonizing the Football Gods with this type of folly, but I do want to respond to the O.P.'s specific analysis of the Titans game. In the NFL, recovery is infinitely more important than "momentum" game to game. The Falcons scored at least three big scheduling breaks this season: 1) We played the Cowboys when they had injuries AND suspensions (The Panthers will play a much stronger Cowboy team week 12 or 10 . . . whatever) 2) Our bye week is very late, so we should be stronger later in the season. 3) Having a "mini bye" 10 day break with the Thursday night game on back to back road games is actually a benefit.[Talk about a scheduling quirk: The Titans don't travel at ALL between September 9 and November 8. They played at home last week, bye this week, then home against Bills, Dolphins, then Falcons the following weeks. That's crazy. But I think our 10 day break more than neutralizes their lack of travel.]
