Why The Falcons Should Be Feared - Bucky Brooks

"I need to issue an apology to Jones after failing to include him as one of the top three receivers in the NFL on a recent installment of the "Move the Sticks" podcast. Despite considering Jones a premier playmaker and elite pass catcher, I thought Calvin Johnson, Dez Bryant and Antonio Brown were superior players heading into the season, based on their stellar resumes. But after watching Jones torch every defender in sight over the past three weeks, I believe the fifth-year pro might be the best receiver on the planet."

Nice read. Typical comments from butthurt NFC East losers. Dallas whiners saying it wouldn't have been done if Dez/Romo were playing. Needless to say, we have Coleman, Reed and Hester out and Jake Long working on getting playable again. After re-watching the game, I can spot two-three penalties that probably cost us an additional 6-14 points. But loving this season, more exciting than I've seen since the days of Andrews & Bartkowski. Keep on rollin' boys, we're QUINNING! RISE UP!

He literally apologizes for past criticisms in the article. Lol.

quote it, if you are talking about his comments on Julio Jones that's not enough sorry

it's about the Falcons as a whole not just the most recognizable star on the team. If I didn't see the apology besides that then I haven't looked hard enough.

Nice write-up. Forget the apology - he did a really good break-down.

Before, even when we were winning under Mike Smith - they sluffed us off as a fluke. They are actually starting to sit up and take notice and really look at the play-making these guys are doing on the field.

Not sure how I feel about it - rather stay under the radar - but I appreciate the respect - Julio Demands!

If what he said wasn't "enough" to you, you're going to be forever disappointed. No one is apologizing to the Raiders or the Vikings. No one is apologizing to the Bills or Panthers, who were decent last season but thought to be poor earlier this season. They're just getting props. People don't apologize because in sports, you're bound to be wrong at the beginning of the season when hardly anything is known. We had ~50% roster turnover after being 10-22 the previous two seasons. Skepticism was completely warranted.

I think it all has to do with Dan Quinn being well respected across the league and Mike Smith never being respected.

hard to stay under the radar when you start 3-0 and beat some playoff aspiring teams in the process

It's funny how quick people are jumping on board now. Once this defense starts clicking, it's going to be a problem.

Another thing I like is what Tandy said, Shanahan is prepared for anything. AND he builds on the offense every game. You might see one play early in the game, only for him to come back, give you the same exact look, and then run something totally different. It's hard when the OLine shows the same blocking scheme on every play. You can't read the OL for run or pass in this offense.
