The Martyr
If Jacob Tamme can't go against Houston this Sunday, what will the Falcons do at TE? I honestly think Tamme will be sitting out this week, simply based on the fact that he obviously got concussed on that helmet to helmet hit, and I'm fine with that. However, I don't think there is any way we can go with just LOLO at TE, especially when they got him playing special teams as well. Also, if we do have to activate another TE, who would we deactivate?I guess there could be a chance that we stick some OL in as eligble TEs and just jam it in with Freeman. What do you guys think? malak07
Well if Tamme looking to only miss a week then we got this new guy who may be one heck of a blocking TE. Jake Long seems like a option to put him out there on some downs especially if he gets some practice in that role this week. It couldn't hurt to have the extra beef on the line with JJ Watt roaming around?Outside of that I'm not sure of the practice squad rules we have a TE on the PS but if we use him does that mean next week we let him go does he automatically go back to PS or does he have to clear waivers? Because I know they won't be expecting them to go out on a route when they have been blocking all game, and I know Ryan will look for the matchups. mashburn*Fibonacci
Lol I'm actually curious of why not put Jake long in at tight end position. And basically just have him as a extra blocker.

newgafatboy
what about Roddy at the TE spot for a game until Tamme gets back
malak07
what about Roddy at the TE spot for a game until Tamme gets backIn the passing game that's alright but not so sure I feel great nor will Roddy if it comes to him having to block on JJ Watt or Clowney... Roddy a man but measurable do come into consideration

The Martyr
Has Long played TE before? Or is he just the best available blocker that's not starting in your opinions?
xiv_T_E_C_O_
We could promote Jensen from the PS, he's had game experience.
newgafatboy
i know having Roddy in only on passing downs can tip the play calls, but there is no reason they couldn't simply run away from the side roddy is on a few times... and use Long as the blocking TE on run plays.... say here it is ....stop it.....and what better situation for a play action pass than to have long in making them think run ?? Mid-Nite-Toker
Has Toilolo been bad?
RunningThePiszOuttaTheBall
Jake Long seems like a option You know, knowing Shanny, I wouldn't be surprised if we throw a pass or 2 to Long, and actually get some decent yardage
RunningThePiszOuttaTheBall
Has Toilolo been bad?Myself, I don't think so. He's caught some passes and made some good blocks.Still, if he gets hurt, we'd have zero tight ends. That doesn't seem workable, so I'd think the Falcons would make some kind of move. Gold4425
I hope we do something which hasn't been the case in past seasons but has this season maybe it's DQ or TD has learned to not sit on his hands. WE CAN WIN THIS THING, BUT we have to stay aggressive and smart with our moves. It is too easy to get injured in the NFL, we have to make some move at TE. I wouldn't have minded if we would have made a play for Bostic from the Bears. N.E. was smart enough to swoop him up. I'm uneasy about sending Freeman into NFL lines play after play. He runs hard, again this NFL players get hurt fast. I would bring in another RB.
Abe
Yeah JJ is going to beat up our guys up front this week. We're going to need all the help we can get.
jimifalcon
lolo has been very good so far in blocking and he did what he was brought in for on the extra point. That play was a thing of beauty!I can't wait for the next shananigan outta the playbook,THIS week.Toilolo AND long could hold up Watt or chip and catch behind him.The anticipation for the next Falcon Sports Center highlight is getting me excited. bertrain7
In the passing game that's alright but not so sure I feel great nor will Roddy if it comes to him having to block on JJ Watt or Clowney... Roddy a man but measurable do come into considerationCouple o our big runs against dallas had roddy white pretty much lined up as a te.. we did alot of one te sets. We will be find with just lolo. Good blocker and i did see him open more than once. Hes just suffering from being very last read lol
falconsd56
Has Toilolo been bad?Nope. He has been putting in work in blocking and has caught everything in the few targets he has gotten. We will be ok with him... It is not like Tamme is setting the world on fire. He had that one big catch vs the Giants and that accounted for almost half of his offensive production. MD-FalconFan13
What are we going to do?Hopefully---Would personally love this acquisition. Would put the league on notice that we are for real and make to offense close to unstoppable.
The Falcon Jedi Knight
We could use Dimarco at TE if need be
rugger8
We could use Dimarco at TE if need beYep. DiMarco, Roddy and Long will take up the slack for different situations. Maybe Polumbus, depending how far along Long is in being integrated in the offense.
