Does 10-6 Or 9-7 Still Win This Division?

I'm still in the camp that says 2014 was an anomaly for the NFC South. This division since Matt Ryan entered the league has regularly sent two teams to the playoffs and/or produced one of the top 3 seeds in the NFC. Even though 2014 was historically bad, I thought that it wouldn't be long before the NFCS went back to being one of the more competitive divisions in football. It seems as though it may have come sooner than later.

The NFC South is currently the ONLY division in the NFL to field two undefeated teams (3-0 Panthers and 3-0 Falcons), and that's just one season removed from being the only division in which all teams had a losing record.

I think 10-6 might, but it will be close. And I totally agree about the NFCS being one of the better divisions in football over the past 5-10 years. Carolina's schedule gets a lot more difficult after their week 5 bye. They're at TB next week and could very well be 4-0, but then they've got Seattle, Philly, Indy, and Green Bay in weeks 6-10. Heck, at Tennessee week 11 doesn't look like a gimme either. weeks 12-16 are brutal too: Dallas, New Orleans, Atlanta x 2, and New York with 4 of 5 on the road. Personally, I think that they are a 9-7 team at the end of the year.

The way we are playing I have plenty of confidence we will take the division.

The Panties haven't played anyone good yet and when they do they will lose just like they did last year, they haven't changed.

We are a different team now and this team doesn't quit which is HUGE over the course of a game.

New Orleans and Tampa are done already.

While 16-0 is unlikely, at this stage there really aren't any formidable opponents standing in our way except maybe the Panthers, or the Colts on a good day. Of course, all opponents need to be taken seriously, but what started out as an easy schedule became extremely easy when all the predicted "good" teams collapsed this season.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised to see Carolina finish with a losing record as I don't think they are as good as their record suggests their opponents are a combined 2-6

The Colts are being exposed. I'd take the Titans more seriously than them because they actually have a running game and a good defense.

New Orleans is horrible and Tampa is not much better. The Panties have played three easy games and still have those four to play. I think 11-5 will probably win the division this year and I hate to say it but the hardest game on our schedule might be when we play them at home. I'm thinking the Panties drop at least two when they play Dallas, NY and Philly, but I could see this division having two teams at 11-5 or better. Right now, if the first three week trends continue the way they have been. There might be a 13-3 or 14-2 team in the NFC south. I just hope it's us.

The afc south for sure. I think the NFC east just getting off to a bad start

Meh. The East has four teams with big media following and a ton of history, but since 2008 they have had one first round bye (in 2008 and none since) and two wildcards (2008 and 2009 and none since). This has been a decidedly mediocre division for the better part of a decade.

stupid panties and their easy schedule. I think 12 wins takes it now.

Yeah its harder than ours particulary about a 4 week stretch coming up after their bye but overall it's still fairly easy. Im gonna say 11-5 wins the division. Shame we don't play each other till the final few weeks of the season. .

Somewhat off topic but I really really hate our Saints games this year. Not saying it's likely but it's in the realm of possibility they sweep us. Depending on what's up with Brees I could see us dropping the Thursday night game in an upset. Those are just so hard to win for the road team on short rest, even when were looking like the significantly better team. In any case I think it's a dog fight. After that we don't play them till week 17 where god willing we'll have already clinched and are beginning to rest up for the postseason.

Don't mean to be a Debbie downer just looking at the schedule, the NFL schedulers did us no favors when it comes to our most hated rival
