Theyhateme : )
It has been a long time since I've seen the Falcons make game changing adjustments after the half. Today's win was the 3rd come-from-behind win this season for a stout 3-0, all while scoring 14 pts in the 4th in 2 of those games which were on the road. This game had doom and gloom from the very beginning, then we charged back for 25 unanswered points. This was an incredible win!!Ryan 24/36 285 2 TDs and a big 3rd down run conversionJ.J. 12/165 2 TDsFreeman 5/52 receiving and 30/141 (3) Rushing TDsThis game was EPIC!! MilleniumFalcon
Looked like they were stacking the box and taking away the short game in the 2nd half. Weeden can't throw the ball past 10 yards. Great to see adjustments and a 3rd quarter domination instead of the other way around.
Theyhateme : )
Not only to comeback but to dominate in the 2nd half and allowing no points! It didn't start out so great, but we hung around and kept it close AND we score TDs not FGs. Quinn said in his post game interview plus what we saw on TV with the yelling that he wasn't too happy and that they had to adjust little and play better. I def agree he probably didn't spend the entire halftime yelling at them or anything, but I'm sure it wasn't too comfortable either
RandomFan
David Moore ✔ @DavidMooreDMN Cowboys offense in 2nd half: 19 plays, minus 4 yards rushing, 52 total yards. This is not a misprint.

Adjustments don't necessarily equate to scheme adjustments.
FalconinPA
I was even more impressed that we overcame a lead of 14 points three times. The old Falcons of a few years ago would have never came or fought back from a lead like that.

rollo lawson
It didn't start out so great, but we hung around and kept it close AND we score TDs not FGs. this right here. On our last drive, we went for the td instead of playing for the field goal. That TD ended all hope for Dallas. Mike Smith would have played for the field goal. Am I right!! falconsd56
I am very excited about the win but we are still having the same issues we have had the last couple years, in that we have not been able to put together a solid 4 quarters of football on both sides of the ball in a couple years. That said it is hard not to be ecstatic about the resiliency we have shown this year.3-0 can easily turn into 9-0 before the break with the schedule we have left. Psychic Gibbon
Could have fooled me. When the players were asked what was said in the locker room, they downplayed it that DQ "ripped into them." IJS.Yeah, they didn't do much of anything different. It has never been his MO to tweak his scheme for opponents before or during games. It's why Trufant stays on only one side of the field no matter what is happening in the game, much like Sherman does in Seattle. Instead he has his scheme which is as simple as possible for the players so they don't necessarily need to think during the game but instead they react ASAP to what is happening on any given play because they know what their job is.What happened in the first half was that they were playing flat footed and without urgency so, as was mentioned ITT, he ripped into them to get them to play with intensity. He didn't even leave it to just them since the sideline reporter mentioned that Quinn told her that the way the defense performed in the 1st half was the worst defense he has ever seen one of his units perform so not only did he rip into them but he publicly shamed them to make them prove the world wrong. Two quarters later and the Cowboys scored 0 more points and had to struggle to move the ball with the only real difference being an attitude adjustment. Psychic Gibbon
Can't help but think that if the Cowboys did have Romo.. They would have blown us out.Still.. This is not the same ole FalconsThey probably would have lost. Hopefully Quinn whipping them into shape and seeing a W as a result will get the lesson through their heads. This is not the same ole FalconsI don't know about that. Romo is definitely tons better than Weeden but Romo would have made some riskier throws too...a couple of which the Falcons may have snagged.Too easy to assume Cowboys would have blown out Falcons.Romo doesn't play D either. Every other game we've came out flat in the second half. This time we made asjustments and we were the ones who dominated the second half. Old Falcons couldn't get it done on the 3rd and 4th quarters. We looked different today.

DallasNative
I wasn't sure which thread I should put this crow eating post, but I guess this is as good as any... Here goes...Well, I wasn't really talking a lot of smack before this game started, for obvious reasons, but I did go out on a limb and ultimately predicted a Dallas win, and boy was I wrong... I was surprised to see Dallas score 28 for the entire game, and even more surprised that they had 28 at the half... I was even more surprised to see Dallas surrender 39, 22 of which was unanswered points in the 2nd half... Matt Ryan and Julio Jones are the truth... At this point, I'm ready to concede the title of best WR in the NFL on behalf of Dez Bryant, because now, Dez is the one who is hurt, meanwhile Julio Jones has taken his game up a notch, and he was already a total badass like Dez...Injuries? Whatever... The Falcons can only beat the team that is put in front of them, and regardless, the Falcons dismantled the Cowboys today... I will not blame injuries, because this Falcons team is obviously quite capable of beating the Cowboys when both teams are at full strength.Falcons fans should rejoice and put it on cruise control for the rest of the regular season, because your team is definitely going to the playoffs! The Panthers are mediocre 9-7 at best team, the Saints and Bucs are dead in the water, and the Falcons are easily a 10 win team. If you're an Atlanta fan, just enjoy the games and don't take them too seriously, because I'm confident you'll win the NFC South, so no need to stress out until January. Dan Quinn really out-coached Jason Garrett today, at least when it mattered most. I think there's huge reason to believe that this Atlanta team is a true contender this year.I wish I were as confident about my Cowboys making the playoffs as I am that Atlanta will make it... I still have faith that my team can win their weaker division and hopefully they'll be peaking when it counts...So what do you say we do this again in late January? But if it happens, it looks like that game will be in the Falcons' house...Thank you guys for putting up with me for the past few days, and for talking a little pigskin with a Poke fan... I got no bad feelings towards the Falcons, nor towards any of you great Atlanta fans. I should really be thanking the Falcons for at least also beating the Eagles and Giants... Seriously, we needed that! Now I move on to chatting with a far less classy bunch of fans, you guessed it, it's Saints week... Oh brother, I dont know if we'll beat the Saints either...Thanks again guys... And again, congratulations on a well earned victory today! But we're gonna mess you up in the playoffs! Or maybe I'm just really high off this weed right now... Peace y'all... Dixie Pride! Edited September 28, 2015 by DallasNative
