Falcons Offensive Line! Omg!

Whether they are down starters or not, this was an impressive performance by the OL especially run blocking and particularly later in the game when we needed it most.

I agree.

Even with their defense a little shorthanded, the offensive line came to play. Gave up one sack early and that was it. Their D could not touch ryan and opened up plenty of lanes for Freeman to run free....no pun intended.

sure is nice to witness a defenses inability to get to the QB be when Matt Ryan is on the field, rather than the opposing teams QB!

since this is positive, I'm sure some will find credible

falcons offense is the number 1 pass blocking line in the league, according to PFF's pass blocking efficiency formula.

also levitre graded positive , and our tackles are looking like the best pair in the league

jake long can stay on the bench

We have a JJ Watt this week.. I'm sure the right side of the Oline will get some extra attention from Shanny when game planning against this monsta....

Texans looked really average against the bucs. But the defenses on both clubs looked good. Texans are very beatable if we can avoid sacks.

Who in their right mind would believe we could have gone from the debacle in Miami here our offensive line got abused, then cutting Hawley, to finding Levitre who so many complained aboit, to what we are watching today against the Cowboys?

The OL is opening up gaping holes and pass protecting at such a high level today I just can't believe it.

I told tall not to worry after THAT game. I saw what I needed to see out of the starting unit. There were a lot of communication issues in that miami pre game and we weren't playing with Julio or roddy and I think my exact words were "they didn't respect Hank and Hester" so they came at us. I also said they were still testing line rotations to see who fit where. I wasn't worried one bit.

like I said hate to say it the blocking got even better when tamme went out and levine came in

This is actually true and I was going to say something yesterday. Tamme is an awful inline blocker and is beat by his man 8/10 times. When he comes back he'll provide that nice outlet for Ryan, but our run game most likely suffers. Not sure if it's worth the trade off and wouldn't be surprised if we move on from Tamme in the offseason. Dunno what his contract looks like though

Edit: after watching Tamme's snaps in Dallas before he was concussed, looks like Shanahan has realized he can't turn him into a solid run blocker. So he didn't use him as a one much. Went with Toilolo and FB DiMarco to block for Free. When Tamme was on the line he was splitting out for routes. Run game was rolling. I shouldn't have doubted the genius.
