Hopefully there's a Beef O'Brady's (not owned by the same people that own the two here) close by. Decent food, and all the games. Not a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings.

I've graduated to a locally owned and operated sports bar that completely rocks. It's called Hero's Bar and Grill.

They're in the process of building a Buffalo Wild Wings here.

But it doesn't work that way with the NFL. If the Saints on on the local channel then just flip over to the NFL Sunday Ticket channel. It doesn't matter where you live. I had it for a couple of years and never missed a Falcons game.

It's not the same as the MLB.tv thing.

Are you in the Falcons local tv market?

If you're in Cullman, you should be less than about 40 miles or so straight distance from the WZDX-FOX54 (Channel 54) transmitter in Huntsville, AL. I'm fairly sure they will be carrying the Falcons-Cowboys game. A good antenna should carry you through.

Unless the Titans happen to be playing an NFC team and they decide to put that one on FOX.

You and I both live in the Birmingham tv market. I had NFL Sunday Ticket. When the Falcons weren't on the local FOX channel I could just flip over to the NFL Sunday Ticket and watch the game. Had it for 2008. Never missed a game. The NFL's blackout rules are different from MLB's. I had MLB.tv this year and could not watch the Braves games live because I'm in the Braves tv market. But did not have that problem with Sunday Ticket because NFL's blackout rules are different.

You would be fine.

If the Saints are on your local Fox affiliate then they will be blacked out on the DirecTV Sunday ticket channels.

Same thing with whatever game is on CBS. As long as the Falcons aren't on a local Fox/CBS station you will be able to watch them through Sunday Ticket.

It won't matter if you technically live in a Falcon market but the game still isn't on locally..

OK thanks. Not that it would help me though. My neighborhood sits in a valley and DirecTv doesn't work very well here. Most of my neighbors had it and gave it up. I have ATT Uverse (which now owns directv but has no intention of carrying sunday ticket) and I'm pretty pleased with it. I also went to the internet site for directtv and put in my area code and got rejected. Oh well... there's a Beef O'Brady's a half mile away. I still think we should direct letters to the league office and A.B. I'd love to see the league come down hard on this Saint loving TV network and end this once and for all!

In Week 3 the Titans are playing at home against the Colts. That game will be on Huntsville's CBS station, so I'd say it's almost a certainty Huntsville's FOX station will show the Falcons-Cowboys game. So, our Cullman friend should be good to go.

I've had a digital TV antenna before and could only pick up 1 or 2 channels and none of them were Huntsville channels because I'm too far away.

I sympathize with all those people in other team's markets that can't get the Falcons games but I can understand why the Saints are shown in Mobile since it's firmly in their market, I do sympathize but we here in Birmingham are in the Falcons tv market and our local channel chooses not to show the Falcons. That doesn't sound like it would be within the NFL guidelines for broadcast rights. Not sure who to email or call at the league office but I have a phone number that I will call and try to work my way to the right folks.

Update: have to try tomorrow, got a recording of office hours!

PSA it says on the website that it is only for 4 year schools but it also allows some community colleges so it may be available to more than you think.

Oh boy, I am so tempted to drop some cash for this. I'm a college student so I'd get the $99 deal. Very very tempting.

I just got it, it allows you to pay in 4 payments of $25 to spread it out a little more. Do you already have a chromecast as well? I just chromecast it right onto my TV. Very worth it.
