"NFL Sunday Ticket with DirecTV has been available to those who can’t get DirecTV for several years. DirecTV has re-branded this product in 2014 as “NFLSundayTicket.TV.” The yearly subscription, which comes in three tiers, allows eligible subscribers to watch the NFL Sunday Ticket every Sunday on your computer’s browser, iPad or Android Tablet, certain mobile phones, PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Roku. To watch on mobile, you’ll need to download the free NFL Sunday Ticket app."

I just sent my local FOX station an email. They're showing the Saints @ Panthers game on Sunday instead of the Falcons @ Cowboys game. I never miss a Cowboys game but when they play the Falcons they decide not to air the game. What a load of BS.

I hear ya! I lived in California for a few years in the early 80's and since the Rams and Niners were both in the Falcons division back then, I got to see the Falcons for 4 games a year unless they were on MNF. (There was no SNF or TNF). I moved to Birmingham in 1985 and was ecstatic that I would finally get to watch my Falcons and Braves. WRONG! The only time I saw them was when they played the Saints. (Twice per Year...less than when I lived in Cali). My cable network wouldn't carry TBS for years because of money squables and we were outside of the Braves radio telecast area. I ranted about it until blue in the face but no one cared due to a rampant anti-ATL sentiment that still exists to some, but much less extent than it did back then. The Braves suddenly became a good team in the 90's and suddenly the Braves radio broadcasts were carried and people started wearing Braves hats and declaring how big a fan of the Braves they always were...it was sickening! The Falcons will only be shown if their game is not in conflict with the Saints. Last year was a good year because most games for some reason were not a conflict with Saints games. Before the 1998 season, the local TV station carrying the NFC decided that since the Saints sucked for a couple of years, they would conduct a poll as to which team should be considered home team here in BHM. The results were #1 Dallas #2 New Orleans #3 ATL. We watched Cowboy games all that year, while the Falcons made their way into the superbowl. Seems to me that if the NFL says we're in the Falcons TV market then there should be no leeway for the stations to over-ride that! Maybe a call to the league office might help us.

Oh yeah, I forgot that the Redskins play the Giants on Thursday, and there is (surprisingly) a fairly large Cowboys fanbase here in DC/MD/VA. Sucks to be where some of you guys are at.

I'm planning to get it, but I'm stalling for one more week since I watched MNF in a bar, drove to East Rutherford, and the Cowboys game will be broadcasted here in the DMV.

Exactly. I remember hardly ever being able to see any Falcons games during that 1998 season. There for a few years (during the Vick days) they did a poll each week for which game to be shown and thanks to the folks on this board voting the Falcons almost always won so that was nice. But then Hurricane Katrina happened and well ****.

Oh boy, I am so tempted to drop some cash for this. I'm a college student so I'd get the $99 deal. Very very tempting.

I don't have Direct TV so I don't know what the situation is with the game that's in your market. If you have direct tv and in the Falcons market do you watch on the sunday ticket channel or do you have to watch the Falcons on the local channel? I know with baseball, when TBS no longer carried the braves, they went to that peachtree network channel or whatever they called it and that wasn't carried in BHM so I paid for the MLB TV only to find out that since I was considered in the Braves local TV market I could only get the out of market games! Wasted money! Not sure if it would work the same with Direct TV?

It doesn't matter where you live at with NFL Sunday Ticket. If the game is on your local channel then you have to watch it on that channel. If it's not then you watch it on the Sunday Ticket channel. It doesn't matter where you live.

At least that's the way it was when I did have it several years ago.

Yea, I was just thinking I'm sure Ill get to watch it here in NoVa. Anytime the skins aren't on, they are showing the 'boys. People's love here of the skins is surpassed only by hatred of the cowboys.

During those years I had season tickets and watched them all in person. Gave 'em up after the petrino debacle. Then in comes Matt Ryan. My timing is just as good in the stock market.angry.png

That's my point though....if you buy sunday ticket in BHM, the league shows BHM in the Falcons local market which would mean that we would have to watch it on the local channel which has decided to show the Saints instead! The sunday ticket channel showing the Falcons game would be blacked out which means we are esentially locked out of watching the Falcons by any means. Or are you saying that the sunday ticket channel will still carry the game even though you're considered to be in the local market?

Just moved to Pensacola and thought I'd get Falcons but no the saints

Hopefully there's a Beef O'Brady's (not owned by the same people that own the two here) close by. Decent food, and all the games. Not a fan of Buffalo Wild Wings.

I've graduated to a locally owned and operated sports bar that completely rocks. It's called Hero's Bar and Grill.

Dont know where you live but they are always pulling crap like that where I live. The panthers are the local team and are 90 min away. Before that the redskins were the local team even though they were twice as far away as Atlanta. Been doing weird stuff for years. Forces you to get sunday ticket or go to a bar which is usually full of **** talking panther fans.

But it doesn't work that way with the NFL. If the Saints on on the local channel then just flip over to the NFL Sunday Ticket channel. It doesn't matter where you live. I had it for a couple of years and never missed a Falcons game.

It's not the same as the MLB.tv thing.
