I love when he talks about how we're gonna dictate our game plan.

Sure we'll prepare and game plan diligently but we're not getting all caught up in what the other team is going to do.

We're gonna concentrate on what we're doing to affect the game! cool.png

And much like another coach in town that lives by "If we do our job we will be successful" This allows us to be the best we can and not be distracted by all the hype.

Yep the guy I wanted even before we were looking for a HC

Imagine if we'd gotten the Rexy show? Look at that buffoon so far...Rexy is about himself, Quinn is about the team! Shame on the people that wanted Rexy

Still don't think Rex would've been bad for the team, he's doing just fine with Buffalo. Happy with Quinn though for sure.

Yeah but he's already had eat his words by getting beat by NE. I've never been a fan of trash talking and that's his, and his team's, M.O. I rank "Glad Rex is not here" right behind "Glad to have Quinn"

I guess we are just going to throw the ball all day long.

Still gotta run it no matter what just to maintain balance. Id rather stay committed to a running game than get super predictable. The running game does t have to completely work for play action to work. It just has to be respected that we WILL run enough that the lb's have to honor it. I don't like not having Coleman like the next man but just pass willy nilly cause Colman is out. Stick with it. Freeman made plays that we needed in the Giants game after Coleman went out. As long as we remain balanced I'm good. If we play into Dallas hand and pass pass pass its gonna be a tough game.

This exactly. It doesn't matter how good we are at running as long as the other team knows that we might run it.

Our plays are much less predictable this year and it's making things alot easier on Ryan and the oline

I'm sorry man, but I have said over and over we needed a viable back-up to Coleman. I see the talk about Freeman making needed plays at the end of the game and just based on his overall body of work, I honestly believe anyone would have made those plays. They weren't all that impressive. So that must mean the defense was done for, not that the runningback was viable.

No one has to agree, it doesn't matter. People can call me a doomsayer or whatever. I know we are this underdog loving team, I am not there with you guys on that thinking. I think we need a viable back to make plays. We will not be able to make a sustainable run in the post season if Ryan is doing all the work in the reg season.

I agree with that for a playoff push but we're talking about a game. Just a game. He's all we have so it is what it is against Dallas. Just stay balanced. Gotta run it no matter what. Coleman should be back well before we even begin to talk about playoffs. And yes any running back could've done what he did against the Giants but we do t have any running back. We have him. So run it no matter what at least to make Dallas honor the commitment to the run that way Matt and Julio can get busy with play action.

Meh, they are going to need better and soon. Coleman is pretty much about to be in and out for the rest of the year. You know how much those ribs can affect your running when you are a target most of the game. Freeman is fun for you guys who love the under dog. Not viable.

That's true. I don't think Coleman will be out that long tho. I actually think he'll be back next week with a Kevlar vest if his threshold of plain is pretty good next week. Get somebody for next week if they have to but I know this week will be too soon so we probably go with Freeman and ward and possibly bringing back Jerome Smith. Who else is out there that we can bring in Asap that's ZBS official?

Yep. That's the only thing I'm worried about. Predictability. The more balanced we stay the less predictable we are.

I doubt we bring Smith back. I love the big guy, but he made one too many bad mistakes. I like a few guys, but my liking them doesn't make us a better team. There are about 3 who have experience in the ZBS sitting there right now. I think all three would either make an immediate impact, or at least wear down the defense enough for Freeman to use his talents at his highest level.

The Cowboys are missing both Bryant and Romo, but are still VERY dangerous. Their strength is not the offense. Never was. Their strength is the ability to figure out YOUR offense as the game wears on. Without a viable run game, we will get "told". Go look at their last couple of games. They are solid against playaction fakes.
