sonnyjim
My recollections do not always comport with history buy as I remember Kroy's injury (single) it was non-contact. He was trying to get around the pocket on an outside rush. He was leaning over like a motorcycle road racer with his cleats digging deep and the angular momentum just tore his achilles off his heel. He injured himself my trying too hard. Not always the most athletic guy, not fast enough in coverage where Nolan had him half the time, Kroy had a motor. He had a whole lot of want-to with a wee bit of can't do..At the beginning of last year Kroy looked like he was washed up. He couldn't move well enough to work like he used to. He was always a step shy of the big play. But if you paid attention you noticed he got a little better every week. As the chorus of Kroy haters grew and grew his achilles tendon got stronger and stronger. His best games were 13, 14, and 15. I can't speak to 16, I was medicated. Dan Quinn watched the film and saw an injured man regaining his considerable strength. Every time he survived a cut the knotheads squealed in outrage. But he kept getting better For 22 games since he came back he has gotten a little better each week and I hopeeverybody was watching the Giant game. Game Ball--Kroy. Stripsack, short yardage run stuffs, TFLs QB pressures..................Kroy is back and he joined a gang. And he's still getting better every week!Dan Quinn is a smart man. sonnyjim
Sorry to be late for the Kroy Joy but I left it up because it points to DQ's eye for talent.

AEFalcon
Kroy's problem is he a tweener with just enough versatility that he gets put in positions that are not his strong suites and he ends up looking bad....especially under Nolan.....& then fans blame him for everything. Biermann least effective in pass coverage and at open space tackling but most DLman are......but he gets put out there more than most DL. He is not quite big enough, strong enough, quick twitch enough to play every down but he is best suited as a disruptive DLman from different positions along the DL with limited snaps. Hopefully that will be how DQ uses him. If so, I think he will do well.
sonnyjim
Actually the OP is Kroy Bierman's mother. Funny. I often think posters are player agents. Or the agent of whoever is behind the subject on the depth chart.
Jesus
When he was the only guy to rush the passer the last year he was gassed late. Now he gets to come in fresh when the other team is tiring. It works for him.

MAD597
Their has never been any reason to HATE Kroy, he is not the world beater or a huge sack master but he has always been good on St's and tried pretty hard. He was a 5th rd pick in 2008 and isn't a cap burden. So WTF is this boards problem with him?

Pretty bad player in all aspects.

Beautiful hand use on the RT AND THE QB.If you look at it in real time again, he has his burst back I think. Watch how fast he closes that 5 yard gap on Manning. dirtybird2k5
Just think, Kroy Biermann was the first player to register a sack for the Atlanta Falcons this season. Edited September 21, 2015 by dirtybird2k5
Mr.11
Just think, Kroy Biermann was the first player to register a sack for the Atlanta Falcons this season. And most thought it would be either Beasley or Clayborn. How bout that for some irony?
