tone357
On the pick nearing the end of the 3rd quarter that put the Eagles on the Falcons 8 yard line. There were 6 dbs against 3 receivers. In my book, that's more of a play calling/coaching error that led to that pick, especially going deep. The 3 underneath receivers were one on one. GoFalcons22
Then Matt should have checked to a run play. You can't throw that pick. You are up 20-3 and its the start of the 3rd quarter. You can afford a three and out. You can't afford to give the other team life by throwing a pick. Taking the sack there helped the team out more. Statick
Ryan knows he ****** up in that instance. Moreso than any constant rehashing we may do here.
blizzard_falcon
I have to think Ryan just did not see Thurmond there for whatever reason. No way he tries to force that ball if he sees the FS lurking underneath.

Hashbrown3
Yep, I'll unload on Ryan but I dam sure also understand that without his azz, we have no chance. He is one **** of a QB with incredible talent.

likeriver
Ryan's brain has been fried by the horror of 2013 and 2014. He probably has weekly therapy sessions because of it. His brain is subconsciously blacking out DB's from his field of vision to cope with the terror, thus leading to the INT.

Was a good defensive play and a miscalculation on Matt's part. I like us attacking so even tho I don't like the int I like the mindset

The safety snuck into the area unseen by Matt because he definitely had Roddy in a 1 on 1 situation.

He should have made a better decision with the ball but checking to a run would have gotten him heat as well

etherdome
Both interceptions belong to Ryan. I am pretty sure that he would be the first to say so. He made two significant mistakes that could have, but did not cost us the game. He is smart fella. He will figure it out.

No way he tries to force that ball if he sees the FS lurking underneath.Looking at the all-22, I got the impression that Ryan though Thurmond was going to be more influenced by Julio's route on the other side of the field. (Corner route)Thurmond almost bit. But kudos to him. He knew something wasn't right and resisted that urge. Nice play by him.
raysnill1
CONSERVATIVE OR STEP ON THE THROAT. WHICH ONE DO YOU WANT?we were trying to step on their throat but the play before Toilolo & Coleman both missed blocking Carroll and Ryan couldn't avoid Cox coming up the middle. if Coleman was a little more aware and put a hat on Carroll Matt had Roddy on the edge against Barwin or Toilolo could have leaked out and there was no one ON THAT SIDE OF THE FIELD. don't be surprised if we come back to that play and it's for a huge gain

He put it too low. He knew Kiko was there but threw it low enough for him to get a hand on. He was a little flat or short on a lot of his passes. Results of only having 1 series drives in pre and not playing with his starters against the Dolphins. Hasn't really played game time speed. He'll get it together. It always takes him a few games to get used to his wr's speed. He missed freeman short too. Gotta get used to his speed out in the flats. Theyhateme : )
Ryan get too locked in...that's my knock on him. You never really know when he's gonna throw that pick, but you get the feeling that he will and that's not always a good thing.

The first one was thrown too low, just low enough for Alonso to track and steal. The second one has a low percentage of getting the first down and he got greedy. It wasn't his best game but Philly actually should get credit. They made some timely plays; fortunately, we did as well.
