pzummo
I think Biermann is a good STer. I don't think he's good on defense. But you also have to give credit to Philly getting him in some very bad matchups. He ended up being out at CB on one play because we had the wrong personnel out there (obviously it was a big completion). On another play the WR went in motion and KB tried to pick him up because we didn't have a CB over there. Both of those plays are going to be embarrassing for most starting DE's, and Biermann is not starting DE material. I'm not excusing it because I thought he was late to jump on a couple of plays when he had an opportunity to see it develop. He also missed some tackles he should've had. In summation, I don't think he'll be cut because of ST's, but I'd rather not see him out there on defense.
Theyhateme : )
Beirmann was directly responsible for the missed Eagles FG at end of game, don't think I'd be throwing him under the bus today. He contributed to the kicker yanking that kick away from him. Can we just keep him on ST?
Caddieman
Hageman was as close to touching that ball as Kroy was. Didn't need to illegally leapfrog an o-linemen either. It's not illegal to jump over the line!
TheFatboi
Hageman was as close to touching that ball as Kroy was. Didn't need to illegally leapfrog an o-linemen either. You can jump him. You can't USE him like jump on his back to block the kick. But if you jump completely over him that's legal.
YoungHeezy
This is trueNaw. Kroy was legit on that one. You can't propel yourself off of a teammate, but you can jump over him.
Ghosts of Glanville
Beirmann was directly responsible for the missed Eagles FG at end of game, don't think I'd be throwing him under the bus today. He was also directly responsible for keeping that cloud of air from reaching the end zone while Murray walked in with the ball
Jesus
Before the game old knobby knees Suzy Kolber gave the ST edge to the Eagles cause Hester was out. Yet that FG attempt showed how bad and unprepared their ST was. Even after Kroy jumped over that guy he still didn't get out of his stance. I can't believer that kicker was in the Pro Bowl and Bryant wasn't even considered. We need to stuff that ballot this year.
Sponge
Yeah, KB should just stick to special teams.
Lornoth
It's not illegal to jump over the line! You can jump him. You can't USE him like jump on his back to block the kick. But if you jump completely over him that's legal. It looked to me like he used his hand to hurdle him, which meant putting his weight on the guy's back. I could be mistaken. Flying Falcon
Beirmann was directly responsible for the missed Eagles FG at end of game, don't think I'd be throwing him under the bus today.I actually thought it was illegal to jump over a OL like he did on a XP or FG? Something about safety and could possible kick the lineman in the head. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Flying Falcon
It looked to me like he used his hand to hurdle him, which meant putting his weight on the guy's back. Flying Falcon
It WAS a penalty:"It will be illegal for a defensive player to jump or stand on any player, or be picked up by a teammate or to use a hand or hands on a teammate to gain additional height in an attempt to block."http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/kicksfromscrimmageWell, maybe not. TheFatboi
It looked to me like he used his hand to hurdle him, which meant putting his weight on the guy's back. I could be mistaken. That was cool. What's illegal is using a dlineman to get your hands up. For instance, you jump on his back to help you jump higher. His hands were down and once he was cleared the lineman THEN he put his hands up. In other words you can't block a kick if you use a lineman as a spring board with your hands up. Am I explaining it clearly? I don't know if I'm giving a good enough example.
TheFalcoholic
Research it.As long as he doesn't contact the O-Lineman, it's legal. Kam Chancellor did it last year.

I think he used his hands to push off the OL though.

zekeyboy1
Cant believe people are trying to give a player, who had one of the worst defensive performances Ive saeen in a while, a pass for almost blocking a fg. lol. "He missed it because he was kicking it away from Kroy"? lmao.. Kickers aren't even looking at shizz like that..Theyre focused on the ball. Not to mention that kicker isn't very good to begin with.. Not to mention that kicker isn't very good to begin with..We all get it. If Beasley had done exactly the same thing you would credit him for winning the game single handedly, but since it was Kroy who you hate you not only refuse to give him same kudos but instead talk about other plays such as why he gave up a downfield pass I. Single coverage on a running back who runs a 4.41 40.
