Guest Dirty Bird Nation ®
Special Teams. The dude is pretty good at special teams. Old regime valued him for that, and Quinn obviously does too. He brought great pressure on that missed FG. That being said on defense, he is a below average rotational player at best. That missed Murray tackle was disgusting. But gotta give credit where credit is due.-Someone who really doesn't like Kroy, but acknowledges that he helped us win the game. Guest Dirty Bird Nation ®
Ideally Kroy will be a core special teamer and be buried as far down the depth chart as possible on defense when Brooks Reed returns. One can only hope that no one else gets injured.
xskyx
The guy should neeeeever be in coverage though.Never.Not ever. Not even against a lineman
DoYouSeeWhatHappensLarry
The guy should neeeeever be in coverage though.Never.Not ever. Not even against a linemanI think he's fine in coverage against mediocre TEs/RBs.What he should not be doing is covering WRs. Or matchup RBs. Hopefully when Reed gets back, Kroy becomes a deep deep reserve.

Yeah, he was just on the field way too much in this one. Maybe we use Goodman more next week.Props to Kroy for spooking their kicker on that last FG, though. dirtybird2k5
All bullspit aside, his Kam Chancellor impression on that FG probably won the game for us.

wscg_
There's no doubt he's one of the best, if not the top (now with Antone gone), guy on ST... but he shouldn't see the field at any other point in the game unless it's a blowout. The guy got his shot years ago because of his ST play, it's just that he hasn't done anything to prove he belongs anywhere other than ST. Dr_truth189
I'm kinda confused by everyone saying he is the reason the kicker shanked that kick. I think it had more to do with the fact that Chip took forever to send his kicking team out there and they had something like 8 seconds to setup and kick. As a kicker, your eyes are pointed straight down, and I doubt he even noticed Kroy.

Didn't the ball go a foot or so over his head?I'll admit that was badass by Kroy. Edited September 15, 2015 by likeriver
DocMan
I see two reasons:1) He has special teams value. 2) He can show everyone else how NOT to cover.

The pressure kroy brought was good.
papachaz
What does Sproles count as then?the reigning hide and seek champion that Kroy still hasn't found.........
FalconFanSince1970
The guy should neeeeever be in coverage though.Never.Not ever. Not even against a linemanRemember when TATFers said he was the key to Nolan's defense? LMAO. He is decent as long as he doesn't have to cover anybody.
TheeTKOBeatz
Listen this is really getting over hyped about the fg ...I mean the ball was kicked by time kroy landed on his feet from jumping the line...he was no where close to the kick...and parkey was looking straight at the ball....at best there's a CHANCE he had a peripheral effect...but so did the outside rusher as well....Bottom line : Kroy is multimillion dollar fodder
jlrfalcon
Weems is pretty good on special teams too but that does not require him to be our #2 receiver on offense

dozer
2 huge whiffs that directly led to Philly points. He's the weakest link on D.He can't cover my grandma in the flat. He gets overpowered & can't set the edge (contain) on D.The pressure he got on the missed FG didn't make up for the other plays he blew & gave the Iggles points. The only place he belongs on the field is Special Teams or better on TV.
