Every single image of "The Two Jakes" I could find keeps saying that the image isn't allowed in this community. Who is the idiot who determines what images we can and can't post?!? IT'S A FREAKING MOVIE POSTER!

When you're at the image page, look at the end. If it doesn't have a .jpg or .png or something similar type ending, then you can't post it. Basically, it has to have an image ending, rather than a webpage ending. If you're in Google Chrome, then sometimes you can get around this, by right clicking the image and choosing "open image in new tab" and then using that tab's address. Also, sometimes webpages will have the image ending, but with something extra right after, like .html. If you remove the ending so it only leaves the .image type ending, then you can use it.

go away. Youre afraid stone is going to get cut to make room from Long.

No not really. Long has fans here, since he has been 5 years away from his prime and how many injuries?

Here is another point I would like to make about Jake Long.

1st OVERALL Pick of 2008 by the Dolphins. Dolphins had him for 5 years. Then he went to the Rams for 2 years and is now a guy no team is talking too. He is suppose to be the FRANCHISE left tackle much like a Tyron Smith for the Cowboys, but he is sitting at home and teams want nothing to do with him? Don't even try to say, well teams don't need a LT or RT, EVERY TEAM DOES. Falcons are the only one giving him a try out, and everyone on here is acting like we are getting a franchise tackle on this team.

How many draft picks did the Rams use on O-Line? How many free agents did they pick up for the o line this year? AND NOT ONE OF THEM WAS JAKE LONG? Wow I am sure glad we are going after the Rams complete bottom of the barrel Crap.

If we sign him, and if he starts, he'll play RT. So even we don't need a LT.

The beautiful thing about signing Long is that not only do we get an upgrade at RT but we improve the depth across the O-line. If one of the OTs goes down I feel a lot better about Schraeder stepping in off the bench than Polumbus.

Agreed, all of these moves will build a better line and better depth.

I don't think anyone on the these boards knows for certain what version of "Jake Long" is working out for the Falcons. We know that he was once a pro-bowl tackle. We know that he's had major surgeries in the past few years. It's pretty much guaranteed that he's not the same player as he was in his first few years. He will have lost some mobility, agility, and strength. If he's 90% as good as he once was, he'll be a good starting tackle for us. If it's more like 70-80%, he's no more than a backup at best.

I guess we'll find out for sure if Atlanta signs him. I'm not going to get too excited until I see him in action.

You do realize it isn't an image being censored right? It's the link/coding that isn't formatted correctly that gives that error. lol

If he is in reasonable shape we should certainly sign him. now that we have G shored up we need another OT even if it's for depth purposes and he fits the bill and could be a high reward scenario if he is healthy. We have tons of cap room no point of letting it roll over with such an obvious roster hole.

Don't see them signing him until AFTER Monday night, the first regular season game, before which he would be compelled to receive a veteran's guaranteed contract.

I would agree but Jake Long's name alone has enough cache' that he is going to get close to $3-4mm guaranteed just to sign anyway - given that his salary would be in that range as well - I don't think the "guarantee" will matter anyway - so, given my premise, I think we could go ahead and sign him.
