Hopefully Adrian Clayborn Is Doing Ok

Yesterday one of his best friends Tyler Sash was found dead in his Oskaloosa, Iowa home. (Sash was a teammate at Iowa and won a super bowl ring as a rookie for the Giants.)

Hopefully Clayborn is doing well dealing with such a loss.

They did the autopsy today but not sure when the funeral will be. My guess is somewhere between Sunday and Monday. Not sure what that would do for him status Monday night if anything.

Push a funeral for a football game? I really hope you forgot to say /purple or something.

Not for a football game, for a really close friend.

Nah man you have it backwards. You put your own life aside to show the person respect. It's why you put on a suit and tie in 100 degree weather and stand in the sun. If they were close I say his place is at the funeral regardless of what was going on. There's going to be plenty of football games but only one chance to show that measure of respect before he's buried.

Yep I agree with you, if they were close and if the funeral cannot or does not get moved then Clayborn should go to the funeral (unless he's just one of those guys who don't like going to funeral, but like to personally visit graves later; i know a few).

But what I'm saying is that, if Clayborn is a really friend then the family should maybe consider having it on Tuesday since Clayborn will have difficulty getting out of work.

Terrible news for AC. My best friend was hit by a car and killed when I was 12. I remember hugging his mom and it was like we couldn't figure out who was consoling who. It was closed casket, which makes it that much harder to come to closure. One of my brothers died at 52 because of a brain tumor that just would not go away. He had a 5 year old and a 6 year old. He spent his whole life going to school, improving himself, and trying to find the right mom to have kids with, third marriage finally gave that to him, then he promptly died. Those were the two most difficult deaths I've experienced, so far. Life can get very, very ugly. We need less prayer and more science. Get your girls, not just your boys into science class. We can find ways to actually fix these problems rather than hope they go away by wishing upon a star. Everything from vehicular danger, to cancer, to whatever killed AC's buddy can likely become avoidable if we stop wishing it away and do it ourselves. I say this without autopsy results, but I'll eat it if I'm wrong on that one, I say the rest with absolute devotion and certainty.
