GleasonForever!
Wow we can agree that the past moves have been question but do they get an A for effort to keep trying to build the line?

FentayeJones
So he was just medically cleared last week? That explains why no team has touched him yet - those knees were still an issue.

g-dawg
If Jake Long is healthy and we sign him, I will also be twisting my nips.
MAD597
At this point F' it just sign him so he can get familiar with the scheme. No reason to keep working him out and not sign him. We just saved 3 million in cap space on Hawley just get it over already so we can stabilize our OL and have them gel.
DaMeatTroughsEgo
True. You think Polumbus gets cut if we sign Long?I'm thinking Harris. Then Polumbus for Harris when long is up to speed
FalconFanSince1969
Jus sayin....I can name many many more that were never the same versus the one outlier
HASHBROWN3
So if he accepts a prove it contract, we can work him back slowly into game shape and see if he can gradually become productive again.

Radiohead
At this point, I don't understand how he helps us.I suppose if he comes in very very cheap for depth, that's fine, but he must have a multitude of serious concerns with his health if he's still at home by now after another injurious NFL Preseason. Shaggy 2.0
Agreed. I'm glad to see some moves. they might be a little late in the process(lol) but they are bringing in guys who have experience so the learning curve will be minimal. I think with Matt Ryan leading the O. this O-line will figure it out. Matt and the center just need to get on the same page so that they can get the rest of the guys lined up. I really believe in Matt's ability to help the guys up front and still do his job at a high level.

We need someone better than Polumbus and Harris for depth. If Long comes back to full form and earns a starting role, that's fantastic. If not, hopefully he's better than the backups we currently have on the roster.
