MayorWest13
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2015/09/04/roster-cut-tracker-releases/71697786/With rosters needing to be narrowing down to 53, many NFL players are facing the ends of their careers.Several notable names were released by Saturday's 4 p.m. ET deadline. Here are some of the notable names who were sent packing, as well as a team-by-team look:QB Tim Tebow, Eagles: Chip Kelly's experiment with Tebow appears to be over, and it's unclear if the QB will get another shot in the NFL.WR Reggie Wayne, Patriots: The former Colts target's stay in New England was an odd one, as he spent only two weeks with Bill Belichick.QB Matt Cassel, Bills: Once thought to be the front-runner for the starting QB job, Cassel didn't have a spot on the Bills after losing out to Tyrod Taylor.DT Devon Still, Bengals: Known for his inspiring fight with daughter Leah on her cancer treatments, Still also added depth to the Bengals' defensive line.DL Darnell Dockett, 49ers: Dockett was signed this offseason as a replacement for the overhauled defensive line, but the 34-year old didn't make it to the regular season.RB Jonas Gray, Patriots: Gray famously ran for 199 yards against the Colts last season but quickly worked himself into Belichick's doghouse.CB Stanley Jean-Baptiste, Saints: A second-round pick last year, Jean-Baptiste struggled to get on the field despite the Saints' need at CB.LB Jameel McClain, Giants: McClain started 14 games for the Giants in 2014.WR James Jones, Giants: The veteran pass catcher should find interest in a market with multiple receiver-needy teams.OLB Jason Babin, Jets: The 35-year-old pass rusher recorded two sacks for the Jets last year but is back on the market, according to multiple reports.DT Louis Nix III, Texans: A third-round pick in 2014, Nix never made it to his second season with the Texans. Vince Wilfork and rookie Christian Covington made him expendable.LB IK Enemkpali, Bills: The defender who gained infamy by punching Jets QB Geno Smith did not make the final roster in Buffalo.P Steve Weatherford, Giants: Weatherford's four-year stint as the Giants' punter comes to an end after the team acquired Brad Wing from the Steelers via trade.DE Da'Quan Bowers, Buccaneers: A former second-round pick who struggled to stay healthy, Bowers notched just seven sacks in four seasons with Tampa Bay.LB Philip Wheeler: Another defensive offseason signing by the 49ers has a short stay with the team.AFC EastNew England Patriots: OT Chris Martin, QB Ryan Lindley, OL Ryan Groy, OL Caylin Hauptmann, LB James Morris, DL Casey Walker, DL A.J. FalconFanSince1970
what do you plan on doing with Tebow ?Make him our back up. He's better than Renfree. He could kill some Shanny boots and waggles. Plus run in some two pointers.
Dem Birds
I'm surprised that nobody is standing atop of Stone Mountain screaming for McClain to be resigned.I missed that. I'll totally do it. I loved Bobby Mac. I actually thought he would thrive in that defense. Sad to see.
Tony Diesel
Meh.Cassel is marginally better than Renfree.Nix is a little intriguing but not a position of need for us.What we NEED is another OT, also a vet CB would be nice.
Kayoh
Ravens G Kaleb Johnson was an absolute stud in the preseason. I'd LOVE for us to grab him since Asamoah is on IR now.

egoprime II
I'd like us to look into Kaseem Greene and Barrett Jones. Greene was a premier pass rusher coming out. Jones was a four year starter on the Alabama O line that was one of the best college football has ever seen...Jones has played ALL the positions on the O line at Alabama, ending up at center. If Jones has the mobility we want we should look at him.

egoprime II
Jean-Baptiste would be a typical TD type DB. Has all the physical attibutes, not much in the way of college production. Kind of like Jalen Collins. And Dez Southward.
