We will most likely still by looking at the waiver wire for another OT, another TE, and another SLB/LEO. The players we could sacrifice for one of those additions would most likely be a WR such as Weems or Williams and/or a DB such as Godfrey or Therezie. RandomFan
I don't see the justification for Charles Godfrey.Honestly, he's probably just a placeholder player until we find an OT, TE, or OLB to take his spot.
dmite
I'm surprised we didn't put Reed on the short term IR, but maybe they are saving it in case something happens during the season.

AND, it's only good for one player per year per team. On the one hand, they think that even if the groin rehab takes the full 6 weeks, at least he won't be out 8 weeks that the IR DTR designation would have cost, and if he had his surgery on 02 Sept as reported by the press, 6 weeks means he could be back for the Skins or maybe the NO game and not have to wait till Tampa. On the other hand, they have saved the DTR designation for a player who has a more serious injury.

Perhaps it means his recovery might not actually be as long as the projected 6 weeks after all.
GleasonForever!
Based on the LEO/SLB I'd say we probably get a pass rusher/OLB in the first again or spend money on one in FA. Kroy & Sco, are on 1 year deals, Brooks cant stay healthy, and Beas is a Rook. We need someone opposite him next year. Hello Irvin haha. Even Clayborn is on a 1 year deal. Interesting offseason next year.
Falconsfan567
I just saw where the Vikings cut OL David Yankey. I remember a lot of folks on here wanted him in the draft. Would he be a fit in the ZBS? Another guy that I just saw cut was Derek Sherrod. Edited September 5, 2015 by Falconsfan567™

Dem Birds
shouldn't this be something a beat writer is supposed to know alreadyI hate Dled as much as anyone but that's just looking for a reason to criticize him. If the Falcons didn't specify yet, how would he know? He has to get the information somehow.

If the Falcons didn't specify yet, how would he know? He has to get the information somehow.he gets paid to cover the Atlanta Falcons. And the Falcons had to specify once they put him on the PUP. They had to either put him on the season ending IR or the 6 week IR. He has access to the information. It takes all of 5 seconds to ask "Is Jon eligible to come off IR in 6 weeks or is it season ending?" If Atlanta didn't give him the info I'm sure he would have said it

RandomFan
Nope. Not buying it. Maponga should've made the team.I don't really give a flip if you're not buying it. The only guy whose opinion matters said Goodman should have made the team over Maponga. You don't know more than the guy who evaluated these players every single day and has access to a boatload more information than you. You crybabies that don't understand how the head coach could possibly do something you disagree with act like a bunch of sandy-vag 5 year olds that had your ball taken away. Get over your butthurt and realize there is probably a reason for the moves that were made - and I can guarantee you it's not because they just don't get it and you can help them fix their mistake...
