k-train
I know we're likely not done making moves yet, but based on what we are seeing right now, what do we do to make room when these guys return from the PUP & IR-DTR lists?** Despite the thread title, I know Reed is gone for 8 weeks
Romfal
too early to tell, roster isnt even finalized and who knows who gets hurt/plays bad by week 6.
k-train
Are they not placing Reed on the PUP? They're gonna let him eat a roster spot in hoped that he'll be back before week 6??
FentayeJones
I think Reed is currently already counting against the
k-train
That seems sorta insane to not use the opportunity to provide some depth in his absence unless they have a heII of a good reason to think he's gonna be back in 3 or 4 weeks instead of the 6 weeks that's been reported. delaigle
Actually correct:http://www.atlantafalcons.com/team/player-roster.htmlReed is not on PUP.To go on PUP it must be BEFORE the first day of campthere is an IR--designated to return--- listbut I'm not sure how it works --it's maybe that he can't get back from that list early enough

AND, it's only good for one player per year per team. On the one hand, they think that even if the groin rehab takes the full 6 weeks, at least he won't be out 8 weeks that the IR DTR designation would have cost, and if he had his surgery on 02 Sept as reported by the press, 6 weeks means he could be back for the Skins or maybe the NO game and not have to wait till Tampa. On the other hand, they have saved the DTR designation for a player who has a more serious injury.

primetime
Biermann and Holmes (he's not coming back)What a glorious day that will be.I hope to **** Holmes takes Polumbus's spot? Holmes doesn't set the world alight but he is light years better than Polumbus

k-train
Ok, so it seems like Reed is indeed on IR-DTR.So, somebody's gonna get cut when Holmes comes back after week 6, and someone else is going to have to be cut to make room for Reed after week 8, right? Lornoth
So if Reed is on IR does that mean we're back at a 52 man roster?
k-train
So if Reed is on IR does that mean we're back at a 52 man roster?Right now AF.com is showing 53 total including Reed, so yeah once he is officially placed on IR-DTR we will be at 52 again.I'm guessing Bryce Harris will get sent packing once Holmes is back. Then we'll have to cut someone... aka Bierman
Aries2887
So if Reed is on IR does that mean we're back at a 52 man roster?yes... I Bet we bring in a Vet RB. fo that time. Then if he does well, Ward get's the cut or Visa Versa.
hjerry
So if Reed is on IR does that mean we're back at a 52 man roster?Best I can tell, we never really were at 52. We already know that Starr wasn't waived till today, which means he counted past Sat 4pm. They then must've waived him, when they claimed Harris. We will then have another spot, once Reed hits IR-DTR.
