Flying Falcon
Bye Tone. Guess your groupies will find someone else to attach to now.
kiwifalcon
Didn't see that coming.Really I thought with the big play ability of Tevin Coleman all bets were off with Antone. We also have Hester on ST's so for me its not that much of a shoch at all. Theyhateme : )
If that happens I can see us cutting Freeman.Who'd be the backs?
PK Manley
No point in stashing a player on a one-year deal on IR. Sucks he got injured, but that's all there is to it.
Aries2887
his tds didn't help win anything if there wasn't a w attached to the outcome. Once again, read more than one post. I'm not the one who brought up him and his scores winning games.Never said you did, I just seen you saying he didn't make a difference really. When he did. His run game was the best of the backs we had and he didn't really get a chance to prove people wrong. With the limited carries he had, still managed to do better then both backs the last two years behind the same garbage Oline Freeman and Jackson played behind. ebonymonk
He stayed hurt, why is this a surprise? No need for him to take up a roster spot and not being able to contribute when needed.

I said (whoever I replied to) can have his 5 or 6 big plays and I'll take whatever helps the team win. That those 5 or 6 plays didn't play a factor in winning. That's definitely not my exact words aND I'm not gonna go back and look it up.His 1 big play per game had no affect on the outcome of the game for obvious reasons. I want more than 1 big play out of the team. Read that carefully, out of the team. I don't get stuck on what a single player does. Never have, never will. But like always, people decide to take my posts to be more than what they are and I have to come up with **** that barely makes any sense because the **** was taken the wrong way in the first place.Woosah

I Firmly believe Tone would have did better then Jackson the last two years. If they would have given him a chance earlier and he didn't produce then fine, but, he made big plays the more they gave him the opportunities. He set the game and momentum for the Offense when he was out there those games were lost by the defense.

When he started getting more touches and running between the tackles, that **** started getting shut down. You may not want to admit it or realize it happened but it did. That cannot be overlooked. Then all of a sudden he got injured. There is a reason he was only a special teams gunner all those years. He got his chance because there was literally no other options 2 years ago. Did he shine, yea he did. But that wasn't enough. Seeing how easily he got hurt in london, he probably wouldn't have had as many explosive plays had he gotten more touches early on. Who knows. Either way he's gone now. No sense in sobbing over it (not you, just in general)
PokerSteve
Sucks but maybe this open up the door for Ward who did really well in pre season and could be a really good goal line back. I'm sad he lingered on ST's for years when we needed a run game but he also showed he can;t stay healthy when we used him more. And there it is. A 30-year-old running back with injury issues before the season even starts. Adios, amigo.
