I'm in a random (meaning I don't know anyone else in the league, just joined the draft) 10-team ESPN league with standard scoring. I'm pretty content with my team and I think it has pretty good balance. I'll list the roster now for reference.

QB- Andrew Luck, Ryan Tannehill

RB- Eddie Lacy, Chris Ivory, Bishop Sankey

RB- Doug Martin, Todd Gurley

WR- Julio Jones, Charles Johnson, Devin Funchess

WR- Jordan Matthews, Kendall Wright

TE- Greg Olsen

D/ST - Miami, Carolina

K- Money Matt Bryant

My reason for presenting this information to my Falcon brethren was because I received a trade offer this morning and it's put me in a tough position. Another team in the league offered me Brandin Cooks and DeAndre Hopkins, two receivers I'm very high on this year, in exchange for Julio Jones. Now part of me sees this and thinks it's a great opportunity to load my roster with quality startable receivers, but part of me thinks as a Falcons fan it's sacrilegious to trade away Julio - especially for a Saint like Cooks.

Another note, I play the guy who sent me the trade offer week 11 so the week I would go against him he would have Julio to use against me, but I won't only have Hopkins to use in return because Cooks and the Saints are bye that week.

In my shoes, what would you guys do?

What's that you say? This belongs buried in the Video Game forum? Well in that case..

Decisions, Decisions.

Tonight against the Ravens do we start our offensive line in hopes of finding answers to our protection issues or do we try to avoid the dooming injuries that have become so commonplace to our offensive line?

Julio will be one of the best fantasy receivers this year barring injury, so I would keep him IMO.

Just out of irony, my fantasy name is Trick Montalban so if I traded away Julio I would also have to change my name,

Julio is unreliable given his injury history.

But if he stays healthy, he's gonna have a big year. You wanna keep your top players. Lacy and a healthy Julio is a deadly 1-2 punch. You can get a player like Cooks, who's a Flex receiver (or MAYBE a #2), on the waiver wire.

Cooks will be Brees favorite target he will be fed a lot. Similarly Hopkins is Hoyers favorite target. There isn't much on the other side of either of these guys. They should see a lot of targets. I'd make the trade. Unless this league is just for fun

All leagues should be for fun. It is a game, after all. That being said I really enjoy winning. I'll stick with Julio and wait for a quality player to have a bad week 1 and try to take advantage of an overreacting owner that will sell low.

I wouldn't trade Julio. In my experience there's a set of top tier players who lead the scoring at their position by a wide margin, i.e. there is a big step down from the top 2 or 3 WR down to the number 4, 5 and 6. Julio is that type of player and getting 2 players in return for him, while giving you some flexibility, can't replace the impact of having a true top tier guy

I prefer to play against people who know wtf they are doing. There's no logical explanation as to how you can end up with Luck, Lacy, and Julio on the same team unless you are playing with total amateurs.

I disagree...if he's drafting at 5 or 6 in a 10 team snake draft, it's really simple to get Lacy and Julio. And getting Luck in the 3rd would only require someone drafting Aaron Rodgers and/or Peyton Manning before him....under that scenario, I'm impressed he was still able to get Jordan Matthews, presumably in the 4th round. If he got him later than that, that's an absolute steal.

I'm picking 10th in the 12-team league that I actually care about...I've done about 20 mocks thus far (I've got a newborn and a lot of time when he's sleeping on my chest, don't judge me) and I've been able to carry out my strategy of Julio and Jeremy Hill 1st and 2nd round (pick 10 and 15) about 60% of the time....

Back to the original point, I'd turn down the trade...it looks like you need more HB help than WR, unless Gurley is going to be able to shoulder the load from day one, which doesn't seem likely

Cooks is a rook, while he is a great prospect he has a lot to learn when facing quality DB's one on one this season.

Cooks will have a nice year, but statistically he won't compete with Julio until next year.

That is baring JJ's health.

I only remember one rookie WR dominating with fantasy like numbers in the last 30 years.

I drafted third in the league and was amazed that I was still able to get Julio at 18. It seemed the players ahead of me all wanted to go in different directions. Julio should be the second WR off the board imo but Antonio Brown, Demaryius Thomas, Dez Bryant, Odell Beckham Jr., and Randall Cobb all went ahead of Julio, and AJ Green went one pick after. I got Lacy third overall, obviously, after Bell and AP went 1 and 2. Luck was still sitting there in the third and Matthews in the fourth. I think Gurley was there in the 6th. Just kind of fell my way, I guess. I'm drafting 9th in my PPR league Sunday night so the roster will probably look very different.
