My Early Mock Draft

Recommended Posts

FA

OG J.R. Sweezy

FS Tavon Wilson

D-Led said we are looking at SEA cuts and players OL coach Chris Morgan and DQ are familiar with. I think we wait til FA next year and go after Sweezy and also a back up for Allen at FS in Wilson. Or vice versa. Allen might back up Wilson.

This is based off of us picking in the early 20's.

1. TE Kyle Carter PSU

I would prefer Myles Jack or Jaylon Smith but they might be gone. Carter is an athletic TE with very good hands and not afraid to go over the middle. Moeaki stays injured and Tamme is no spring chicken.

2. OG Dan Feeney Indiana

Dude is a beast. The perfect lineman for the ZBS. He can pull and get to the second level quickly. Only gave up one sack last year and plays with a mean streak.

3. OLB Terrance Smith FSU

I don't think we will be able to depend on Reed. Durant is a little shaky to with injuries. But Smith is a very good tackler in space and can go sideline to sideline.

4. CB Lloyd Carrington ASU

Can never have too many good CB's. His coach said he is the best CB he has been around. Idk if that's just coach talk. He is a very good technician and can probably play safety too.

6. ILB Nick Kwiatkoski WVU

He can play inside and outside. Depth behind Worrilow and can be a very good ST player.

7. SS Tevin Carter Utah

Dude is very physical and has 4.4 to 4.5 speed to be his size. We all know how Moore is so he would add depth behind Ishmael and Moore.

A TE in the first when we could up grade both lines of scrimmage?. Schrader is a FA,RG spot could be replaced(Whole at RG) Chester will be 33 starting next year. On D realistically who will be opposite Beasely on third downs? We need a Irvin-Bennet, Ware-Miller, Suggs-Dummerville, Hughes-Williams combo. Babs is old and Soliai or Jackson wont be here next year. Wor is a FA and Durant,Reed, and company cant stay healthy. Those are all directions I would go before TE.

Schraeder is not a FA. And I addressed the O line in FA with Sweezy and the #2 pick Feeney.

I stand corrected Gleason, you are right he is a RFA tho. So we'll probably re-sign him or get a late pick for him if he goes elsewhere. I don't think we'll have to worry about RT, I'm more concerned with the interior.

Both lines up front have to have chemistry to be successful, and I highly doubt that after one year with DQ that we will be letting anybody walk in FA. But we desperately need OG help, which is why I added 2 guards.

Actually, I think he is. He was an UDFA, so he gets a shorter contract. Same reason La'el Collins wanted to go undrafted.

Same with Worrilow, Bartu and Ricardo Allen (due to being cut), I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Correct, he is a RFA, which is very different. He'll likely receive a 2nd round tender.
