Really bro?

142 Rec, 2,169 YDS (15.3), 17 TD

Pretty darn good in my book. Considering he posted those numbers while playing for the Raiders and not having a QB worth a **** throwing to him? Yeah, he's good bro.

I keep hearing this about how he's going to blow up, but he was on the roster bubble for some time in Oakland, sat around forever in FA, and then did nothing with the Bengals. He's clearly not as good as those numbers indicate.

I hear every time he's released about how he's going to blow up, only for him to get released again soon after.

This is the first time he's ever been released. Drafted by the Raiders in 2011 in the 5th round. Played there for 4 years and put up good numbers with no one worth a darn throwing to him. Became a free agent and signed with Cincinnati. Released now. So that counts as 1 time that he's been cut.

You're right. I edited my post, right after I posted it.

What I have to say is give him a QB worth something good and he'll post even better numbers. You don't post those good numbers with crap for a QB and not be pretty good.

He didn't do much last year but the other 3 years were good.

2011 - 33 REC, 618 YDS (18.7), 5 TD

2012 - 51 REC, 741 YDS (14.5), 7 TD

2013 - 46 REC, 695 YDS (15.1), 5 TD

2014 - 12 REC, 115 YDS (9.6), 0 TD

I would like to know what happened to him last year but I can't just ignore those other years. I'd take him on the Falcons in a heartbeat but we're good at WR and don't need help there.

Then why did he sit in FA? Why only a 1yr contract? I just get the feeling that GMs and HCs don't have nearly as much faith in him and this board seems to.

There's all kinds of reasons why that could have happened bro. He's got talent though. I've watched him play and the numbers back that up.

Maybe

I'd honestly be surprised if ever turns into what this board hypes him up to be. ****, I'd be surprised if he makes someone's 53. Maybe there's some team with terrible receiver depth that'll pick him up.

I highly doubt that any of the teams with a "QB worth something good" will even look at him though, which would say a lot.

Oakland showed zero interest in bringing him back, so followed Hue Jackson to Cincinnati... and promptly did nothing there to make them consider keeping him around.

I agree with you. He looked talented on the field a couple of years ago, but something has happened, and his career is probably over at this point.

Could mean they release either Christine Michael or Robert Turbin.

It's definitely Christine Michael that would be on his way out in Seattle.

Crazy that he was never able to come in and seize the backup job to Lynch. When he was drafted, Seahawks fans expected him to be their new starter by this time, not being placed on the waiver wire.

Seahawks have had an awful time, trying to find replacements for all of their stars. ****, a lot of the guys behind their "name" players are barely adequate. If they don't start hitting the jackpot in the draft again, they're going to have a tough time, once these guys start leaving.

It's part of why, I think, they really have no choice but to give their starters what they want.
