Des-pool
Justin Houston was a 3rd pick...just quit now. The Cowboys didn't choose Houston either.Julio did what he came in to do, which was make our offense more explosive. He helped get us ten yards from the super bowl. The failure was not on Julio, but the staff. We had the juice to win that game, it came down to poor coaching. We peaked...and it was all downhill from there. Guarantee you, we would not have been in that game if we didn't have Julio that year. He opened our offense so much and really is the reason that Turner had even a halfway good season, as he was pretty much done that year also. For the first time though, he wasn't running against 9 in the box, because teams were worried about covering Julio and Roddy.

Des-pool
No...he wouldn't have garnered the respect Julio got, not in his first year.Look, I will never regret the Julio trade, and neither will most Falcons. We got a top 3 player(in your eyes top 5, whatever) at his position. The price was steep, but that was the draft to do it in, as there were a lot of busts. This isn't trading 3 first rounders for RGIII, Julio is a difference maker who is vital to the success of this team, without the baggage of Dez and other diva wide outs. He completely changes what a defense does when he is in the game.
Des-pool
If Julio stays healthy, he will absolutely rewrite the Falcons wide receiver records and be the best wide receiver we have ever had.

Joremarid
This proves you dont get the point. The Julio trade became a failure in 2012.Julio himself is a great player, but what the team did to acquire him was based on winning a Super Bowl ring immediately. That did not happen. You don't have a clue what you are talking about. If that's all it was then why resign him?

Des-pool
What an accomplishment that would beIt actually would be...probably better than any Dallas wide receiver for that matter.

Des-pool
Lol, not at all. But he definitely will be better than Michael "hold on, let me snort this coke while I push off this receiver" Irvin.
Des-pool
You cannot predict we would have gone with Houston or that he would be what he is now. I bet you're the best hindsight GM ever Rave! That doesn't even matter. Justin was taken in the third round, and we had a third round pick that year and still passed, like most of the NFL. Justin had issues coming out.
Des-pool
Lol, did I hit a nerve, sorry. Just chill out, it'll be ok bro. At least till Irvin's next dui...And I'd be happy with one, lol.
DatMan
Julio deal will never be worth it. How has it paid off? All those superbowls? playoff games? It's easy in hindsight to justify it but the truth is two awful front offices screwed the pooch in that draft.
Knight of God
I'm trying to figure out if Gregory has done anything against first team yet. I mean, lol, Maponga got 2 sacks against 2nd and 3rd stringers too. Gregory seems like a fanboy pipedream at this point. We'll see what happens in the season.Better hope he doesn't get anxious or depressed though...he could end up lost for a few games per season. Smith has won most of the battles, but Gregory has won some also. Regardless of what he has done in preseason games, if he can beat Smith, he can play in this league. Its really that simple.
