Will Beasley Switch Jersey #?

For some reason the team store and NFL shop seem to think so. For some reason they haven't released jerseys yet waiting on the "league to approve his number". Of course the team shop doesn't have Trufant jerseys either but the have Freemen.

I think he stated he will keep the number because 4+4=8 (falcons pick)

Yes he picked the number because that was his draft position, said it was his lucky number and because he said if he had been taken any higher he wouldn't be a Falcon (his favorite team). Obviously is very meaningful to him so I wouldn't count on him changing that number.

I respect that and understand it. Wouldnt #53 fit that profile tho too?

Allen Bradford is #53. Not like he can just have 53...besides I agree with 44 looking unique. It's new to them this season and it Beasley is new to us, so why the heck not?

He could have easily taken 53 with that logic. 5+3 also equals 8 and his college number was 3. I think he wanted 44, because 53 was available last I checked. Bradford(who currently has 53) is a new guy this offseason. I doubt there would have been any problems letting beasley take the number over him.

DK was number 53, so he couldn't take it. Once the Falcons released DK this offseason, Bradford took his number.

DK? Donkey Kong? I remember at least one 50s number being available. So many he does take it from Bradford before the season starts. I do think 53 would be a better fit for him, if 8 is suppose to be significant.
