Jesus
Declaring winners and losers during preseason seems weird but the folks at NFL.com decided to do it. Guess which side our Falcons landed on?LinkThis one is funny:WinnersTitans quarterbacks: Marcus Mariota has looked as advertised in the preseason, looking very calm in the pocket. He's accurate and looks like a workmanlike veteran, not unlike Teddy Bridgewater at the end of last season.I guess they missed game 1...LosersRoddy White: We were worried about White's production falling off a cliff this year even before his recent elbow surgery. The Falcons should have some level of concern about their receiver depth.uh oh...

newgafatboy
Mariota did look ggod against the Rams.....but maybe that says more about our defense vs rams defense than it does about Marcus...

pzummo
Oh NOOOOOOO! What are we going to do with just Julio, Hankerson, Hester, Hardy, and Weems?!?! Our 5 WR's without Roddy is still better than the top 5 WR's on the majority of NFL teams. And I'm not sure how GB is not listed as one of the biggest losers after their top WR went down for the entire season while Roddy is there with an elbow drain. I guess it has to do with their outstanding depth at WR, which the writer mentions, though I don't think they have anywhere near as good as us even without Roddy since they don't have Nelson. They have a good scheme, so they'll be productive, but their WR depth is not great by any means.
vel
I'm not worried about Roddy. We have plenty of depth in Julio, Hank, Hester, Weems and Hardy. This is a clean out procedure, not a repair surgery. But whatever.
FentayeJones
Wide receiver depth is the last thing Im worried about at this point.
likeriver
Hankerson may very well be WR2 even if Roddy starts week 1, so idk what they're getting at.
McSpanker
Best to not worry what these idiots think. Basically no one actually keeps up with the Falcons at all. He probably couldn't even name the wr's behind julio and roddy so it doesn't surprise me he thinks we have no depth.

dardan
Good thing those guys get paid to write. No one would hire them to think.
GTFalcon25
Mariota CANNOT be considered a winner at this point. His game against us was a borderline disaster. Sure, he managed a nice TD drive against our backups... but he got owned by the first team. If he had a nice game against the Rams (which I didn't watch), then you could call it a wash at this point. Theyhateme : )
No concern about Roddy whatsoever. He can take his time and get well.
