MSalmon
I'm avoiding the Captain Obvious guys like Vic or even Clayborn. Guys you figured would be good to decent. 1) Michael Ford:- I like his running style. Got a bit of dog in him and lowers that head for the last yard. Everyone is saying its between Freeman and Coleman, but watch this kid. Name a rb since Turner you watched pound in a goal line TD with ease.2) Thereze--I've been banging his drum since day one. Natural FS in this scheme. Got some pop and great range, and good ball skills. Not sure if this is his year, but Ricardo better bring his A game3) Akeem King--I like his effort on STs, and he's a fast big dude. A bit raw, but I like his fluid Athleticism4) Bradford--my man brings the wood. He takes risks and can miss assignments. But I like big, nasty and fast ILBs5) hankerson --not too much of a surprise as he was good at UM, but it seems the knee is all good and I'm getting cocky and saying its possible we have Roddy's replacement6) Levine Toilio--A much aligned kid who seems to have put the work into the weight room. He looks so much more athletic and put together. Much better route runner. 7) Tyler Starr--I'm a bit surprised I'm pointing him out, but I'm liking the kid. Another guy who's put the work in the weight room and seems to be using his length and athleticismWho you guys noticing?
Shoggoth42
not many on this list are making the team.
alphaville
Agree with your list. For me it is Kevin White. He may be smaller than what coach Q wants but he is covering well so far. I think White bumps Southward off the 53.

Starr may not, but most of the others will make teamAgree with your list. For me it is Kevin White. He may be smaller than what coach Q wants but he is covering well so far. Tribal Chief
I honestly thought hank was about to get injured in the first quarter the other night down by the end zone when a defender tackled him low and hit his legs. I was so relieved to see him get back up with no limp
Sheldon Cooper
Mooney, Toilolo, Nick Williams.

He's a ripped dude btw lolSeems the knee is good, he's moving like he did at Miami
MSalmon
Mooney, Toilolo, Nick Williams.Good adds. I'm thinking that I like mooney better than dimarcoThat Williams kid will be hard to cut. He's a solid little dude
g-dawg
Maponga should definitely be on your list. I had almost given up on him being anything and now he looks like a legit back-up passrusher who could develop into a real threat.
Sheldon Cooper
Starr has a very good chance, especially as Biermann continues to wet the bed.LEO-Beasley, StarrRDT-Hageman, Babinaux, JarrettLDT-SoliaiLDE-Jackon, Clayborn, MapongaSLB-Reed, SchofieldStarr has tackled well in the open field meaning we can drop him like Reed, and Maponga has gotten good push bull ruhing, with two sacks in two games.Biermann has gotten stone walled, run himself out of sight allowing big run gains right where he was, long completions on 3rd down, and on ST's gotten down there just in time to high five whoever beat him to the punch. Sheldon Cooper
Yeah, add Maponga for me too. I little expectation of him making the team but he is carving out a niche, even if it is one dimension.

I kinda thought he had talent when we drafted him, but I can't lie. I thought he was cut bait this year. How cool will that be if these late rounders and UDFAs turn out at least decent? Watching the way some of these guys are performing is restoring my faith in Dimi

And it's cool that he's a situational pass rusher--that's good value from a fifth rounder and a necessary component as the season wears on

I didn't get the puck last year. He looked weak and list. I'm very impressed with the kid this year. I think he's more of a natural SLB than he is an edge rusher. And I agree, won't hurt my feelings to cut bierman

Tuggle'2
So happy to see Maponga looking fairly good out there. Always had hopes for him.Williams though is main underdog player though. He's just tough as hell. I love watching him out there.
etherdome
Maponga is a terrific story. Coming out of college, I felt like he could become our go-to pass rusher. He was quick, aggressive and strong. Then, like magic, he languished behind Bierman.....I could not believe it. Now that I see him producing, albeit not at a star level, I am realizing the sort of disconnect that existed between Smitty and Tommy. This is not about knocking Smitty. I just want to point out that his and Tommy's philosophies may not have been as simpatico as advertised. I don't know. I am just glad that Maponga is getting his chance to succeed. I'd like to see him become part of the regular rotation of pass rushers. I think he could become a good foundation defender.
