Falconsfan567
I decided to do some research on what the Falcons have done since they moved into the Georgia Dome in 1992. The reason is that it seems like the Falcons have been a pretty good home team since they moved into this building and I wanted to see if perception equals reality.1992 = 5-31993 = 4-41994 = 5-31995 = 7-11996 = 2-61997 = 3-51998 = 8-01999 = 4-42000 = 3-52001 = 3-52002 = 5-32003 = 2-62004 = 7-12005 = 4-42006 = 3-52007 = 3-52008 = 7-12009 = 6-22010 = 7-12011 = 6-22012 = 7-12013 = 3-52014 = 3-4TOTALS = 107-76 (.585)Well it seems that perception is indeed reality in this case. The Falcons regular season home record since moving into the Georgia Dome is pretty good at winning nearly 60% of their games. Not bad for a team that hasn't won even close to 60% of their games overall since 1992 (178-189-1 (.485)).

PK Manley
The 33-7 record from 2008-2012 is definitely impressive. Let's hope to bring that trend back.

Definitely need to get back to that. I was very surprised they never posted a perfect home record under Smith. They had a chance to do that in 2012 but pissed away that final game of the season against the Bucs.

blizzard_falcon
They had a chance in 2008 too, but I think they blew it against the Broncos.Yep! I remember that game because the Broncos were SO injured and they still beat us. They were using a FB as a two-way player at LB. For some reason Mike Shanahan just had this team's number, and we've also always struggled against a Jay Cutler-led offense. Our only loss at home in 2010 was to (ggrrrr) the Saints, 17-14. Sir Joe™
Here's hoping our record is just as good, if not better, in the Mercedes-Benz stadium.

falcon22
For the most part, if the Falcons win 6 or more at home, they will be a playoff team.
falcon22
I kind of like "Benz Stadium" better than "Mercedes-Benz Stadium". I can hear the announcers on TV saying: "Welcome to the Benz, where the Falcons are unbeatable..." I still don't know how the Falcons defense played so bad that game because it was actually decent that year and the Broncos were so injured that day. I remember Koenen had a pretty good kick on that drive and they still drove it back. If I remember right, they even had a couple of penalties to move them back - and they were mostly running but there was a really long pass to Brandon Marshall that really moved them down the field and Chris "Can't Turn My Head" Houston couldn't do a thing about it. Then he threw it to his tight end on 3rd down to end it. Ugh!
