95Dawg
Sounds like this man went to the void looked into himself and rebounded amazingly. When someone says that someone don't deserve a second chance (within reason). Well, think of Maurice.Hope he keeps it up.http://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/ncaafb/maurice-clarett-has-found-a-second-life-in-sharing-his-first/ar-BBlSzJx?ocid=mailsignout
Des-pool
That's pretty powerful...and awesome. i truly applaud him for turning his life around. It would have been easy to become Lawrence Phillips instead.
iQue
Thanks for sharing. Glad Clarett didn't give up on life
JayOzOne
I live in the Columbus Ohio area and it's amazing how he's rehabilitated his image. "Youngstown Boys" only told part of the story of his issues with Ohio State and subsequent downfall. He came out of prison and worked temp jobs in local warehouses to put food on his table and never played the blame game to get his face into the newspapers. Say what you will about the Program, but OSU takes care of its athletes, present and past. They let him resume his education and I'd say it's safe to say that he's been welcomed back into the fraternity. More proof that if you are a former athlete, all you need to do is keep your nose clean and you'll never be in want of a job. I applaud Clarett for his rebound. I am not a fan of the Program but I keep track of some of the players and he went from zero to hero nicely. We'll see what happens with Terrell Pryor when his banishment ends next year. Carter
I just read an article recently about Pryor actually. He has atoned for his past mistakes at OSU apparently and was recently spotted mentoring Braxton Miller about changing his position to WR as Pryor is getting set to do that himself in the NFL.Powerful stuff on Clarett. It's great to see these guys turn things around and handle their business the right way.
JayOzOne
Powerful stuff on Clarett. It's great to see these guys turn things around and handle their business the right way.We forget that a lot of these guys are 19 and 20 years old when they make these mistakes. A lot of the things they do to get into trouble seem amplified because of their impact on others, not because they are particularly egregious. 95Dawg
That's true but. Clarett as des pool above pointed out did not go the Phillips route. What a waste with that one and how many chances he had. Applaud Clarett for owning his mistakes.
SacFalcFan
anytime a person turns around his life. part of turning it around is apologizing and going to those you hurt and making amends. i hope him the best in his life.
