I have no problem with R. I have problems with the know it all posters they go back and forth with him. They are more of the problem in my opinion. R likes James Stone. Ain't nothing wrong with rooting for the UDFA. Nobody says squat about the Worrilow fanatics, the Beirmann apologists, or Hawley lovers.

It has nothing to do with him being a Stone fan. Everything that has been said before shows this.

It's more of the approach that is applied when he expresses his opinion. Throughout this conversation he has started to respond in a less abrasive manner tho.

Or, we actually know what the rules are. I didn't ban him, didn't ask for him to be banned. Got tired of his schtick immediately and just ignored him.

COC says you can't post " Off-topic material that impedes or otherwise prohibits communication". He's clogged up numerous threads unrelated to Stone and Hawley with his nonsense.

He also repeated a behavior that a mod had specifically told him to not do again. Actually did it multiple times., So yeah, he did violate COC.

Every time that a poster goes off the rails, and becomes a clear nuisance, there are posters who want to come in and claim the poster is getting banned b/c they think differently then everyone else. This is hyperbolic propaganda, as any rational person can look and see that it's more than that. If the mods wanted to ban people just for having differing opinions than the "homers" then many on here would have been banned long ago. This goes beyond. This kind of thread hijacking and relentless fanaticism stands out as different from just people that hype up a player or have differing opinions.

Noooooo, these TAFT Hitlers just have to cry and moan about EVERY single thing that don't tickle their fannies. Call EVER poster that has a difference of opinions, trolls. I mean, they got my boy, Swift banned. And I liked reading his thoughts he posted. Did I agree with EVERYONE of his posts? No, but they were entertaining. They made me laugh, think outside the box, show me another side of the spectrum, made my day go,by faster. Then came the TAFT Hitlers with their inline marching boots and short cut off mustaches. And they had to shut down one of the opposing voices on the board. Then they threw a party and celebrated after he was gone and turned to see who was next on their list. They are worst than the Capital (Snow) on the Hunger games. Maybe we need to raise three fingers and start whistling around here.

They banned Swift because he repeatedly attacked other posters and made frequent use of the 7 words you can't say on a messageboard.

I find it amazing that I think Hawley is worthless and I am labeled as a troll. NEWS FLASH, I can have my own opinion on any player. Its a free country. Sorry I am not a fan boy of Joe Hawley. I think people take it personal just because its about Joe Hawley. I never once attack any member on here, and when I say Mark, its a wrestling term that fans are called when they believe a fake show is real.

If I hated on Peter Konz or Kroy Biermann, it would be ok, but since its lovable Joe Hawley, oh NO ONE can say a bad thing about him. He deserves all the respect and cuddling for being such a fine player.

Not famliar with the 1st amendment either , are we?

Repeatedly violating the COC on a private messageboard and getting banned is not a 1st amendment issue.

And yes, the mods here do a great job of balancing the spirit of the law with the letter of the law, they cut people slack all the time. R just refused to give up his schtick and Swift just refused to stop being a jerk.

Ultimately, Swift was banned b/c he had zero self control. He would come into a thread and take it over, and while some would be OK with this, most would abandon the thread entirely. He did this to many threads, sometimes in one day, and it just left little available to those that did not want to engage in his 10+ page discussions.

I've said many time before, that if Swift could have limited his takeover tendencies, then he would have been fine, but he never could.

Now it's gotten to the point where the mods have made it clear that those who they receive their directives from, have explicitly said that he will not be allowed back.

I've personally watch how many posters on this board would personally attack Swift with derogatory names. I've personally watched his posts and saw how he would refrain, but posters kept pushing his buttons until he fought back. What happened to those posters that would instigate the situation? Did they get banned? Nope. They were sheep and fit right in with the rest. Swift wasnt bad by no means. I've seen worst on other messageboards and I've seen how someone can be targeted by the masses and made to seem like they're a bad person on a messageboard. There are little clicks on this board too. And their primary goals are to target anyone with a difference of opinions and try to have them banned or ridiculed.

If, in a group of people, a few get a little loud sometimes, and use a few curse words, they can usually be ignored/tolerated, but when one person runs in and stars screaming incoherently like a mad man, it draws everyone's attention and not in a good way. It changes the whole feel of the conversation and causes many to give up on it and just leave.

I think that you're just deciding that it was mostly not on him. He shared quite a bit of that blame. He wasn't this innocent poor man that was being persecuted. Admittedly there was some blame o both sides, but he was far from innocent. To say otherwise is simply naive.

There is a limit. Even if you want to just let everyone do whatever, the creators and owners of this board do not, for what should be obvious reasons. Order has to be kept. If you'd like to create a MB where everyone can just do whatever, then feel free, but when posters are constant problems, actions will always be taken.

You realize he frequently started a new identity by attacking everyone, right? That his new identity frequently had a crude insult to a mod baked into it, right?

And, where was his self control? All he had to do was ignore the BS and post. He never did the last couple of years.

He never got banned because of what someone else did, but because of what he did. He was responsible, placing the blame on others means you have control over your own life.

Oh by no means am I saying this went one way or another. I'm just telling the things that I've witnessed since being on this board. With me, Swift, R, and a few others. I've noticed how Swift would try to "act right" and a poster would come and try to get him riled up. Then the other sheep would come "crying" to draw attention. I've seen that in just the little time I've been here. It happened to him as well as a few others. Like I said, there's little clicks on here thats sole purpose is to try to weed out anyone with a difference of opinions.

Order. Funny you mentioned that, cause when you have grown (or supposely grown) men on here calling others all kinds of names because of their different opinions, what kind of order is that? How can one come here to "enjoy" if they are being called idiots or **************** with every other typed word? Is that order? Where are the CoC rules when that kind of stuff happens? Who's quoting the rules then?

So they'll just let a poster insult another poster all day, every day, but when a poster "clogs" up threads about a player they like when the thread isn't about that player then we must send him on a vacation?
