Who Gives The Falcons Serious Competition?

Could you elaborate? I'm curious.

Never had a full assault defense before so I'm thrilled with that. I like the weapons we have in the passing game. I am starting to get a little concerned with the run tho.

We are on a different level. A lot of teams that use to be in the same pass/fail group are no longer with us in that.

I was happy with the performance on Friday night, but until we have more than one good drive in a preseason game, I am tempering my excitement. We have the parts of what looks like a potentially much improved team, but we have to let them simmer together before we know what's cooking and whether it's good.

I'm hoping that we earn the right to have swagger by the end of the year but that the fellas come out and bust a few lips at the beginning to see to it. To answer the question, Carolina (for obvious reasons) and the Cardinals, Giants, Lions, and Vikings (teams with whom we could be competing for wild card spots if we fail to win the division).

Vikings are legit. Very underrated team. However a Arian Fosterless Texans team doesn't scare me at all.

Texans I think is a tough matchup for us because their d-line and our o-line both scare the sh!t outta me. Yea their offense is probably gonna be bad, but I don't really have confidence that our defense will be able to shut down a bad offense for a full 4 quarters. I think our D could play well at times but also allow enough plays for a bad offense to hang around. I think this game comes down to the turnover battle

Our first three games are a brutal stretch. I think we'll beat Philadelphia at home to open the season -- their pass defense is just not good enough to stop us -- and then lose the next two on the road to New York and Dallas.

However, after that, I think our only remaining losses will be @ Saints, Vikings, and @ Carolina. So I have us going 11-5, rattling off a big five game win streak to seal the division title.

Yes, the Colts will be a very tough matchup, but I think we'll win. I believe Quinn, Shanahan, & Co. can successfully gameplan a win since we'll be coming off of a bye and will have two weeks to prepare.

I'm not worried about the Texans at home. No Arian Foster, and Hoyer/Mallet are not a scary combo. I think we're actually more likely to lose on the road to Jacksonville if we're going to drop another AFC contest. Jaguars are one of my sleeper teams to (finally) show real improvement this year under Gus Bradley.

In the division? Possible everyone. Almost definitely Carolina.

Injuries are going to change every team's course but as it sits right now, Carolina scares me more than the other two. But it wouldnt surprise me if NO were decent (though I do think its more likely they fall apart). I think TB is still a long ways away. But who knows.
