Falcons Make Moves At Rb

Trouble

Recommended Posts

With three backs ailing, the Falcons have gone outside the organization to add a healthy body to the mix.

The team announced Sunday that they have signed Evan Royster, who is new to the team but not unfamiliar with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan. Royster was a sixth-round pick of the Redskins in 2011 and Shanahan was the offensive coordinator for the team through the 2013 season.

That was Royster’s last in Washington as he was cut at the end of last summer and didn’t catch on anywhere else during the 2014 season. He had 328 yards on 56 carries as a rookie, but Alfred Morris’s arrival pushed him down the depth chart and Royster carried the ball just 25 times in his final two years with the team.

Devonta Freeman, Tevin Coleman and Antone Smith have all suffered hamstring injuries recently, leaving the Falcons with Terron Ward, Jerome Smith and Michael Ford.

The Falcons also signed linebacker Terrell Manning, who played for the Bears and Giants last year, and cornerback Travis Howard. They released offensive lineman DeMarcus Love.

And at CB and LB.

And at CB and LB.

Wasted no time in bringing in bodies at the areas of obvious concern. CB was a problem, and Southward is an easy cut right now... wasted third round pick from last year's regime

TE's killing our second and third team D's... bring in another LB to look at.

I really like this approach. Once you see what a guy's got to give you on Gameday, evaluate and respond immediately seems to be Quinn's approach... It almost seems like he's a football FAN as well as a coach... like one of us who watches a game and thinks, "That guy sucks..."

Never was a quizz fan. Doesn't have the burst speed on his first step. All he had was being elusive.

I can't lie. I was a Homer for him his first year here. But after that it went down hill.

But I remember when we got Jackson I asked him at camp how he felt or something like that. But I remember his reply was, "I thought I was going to be the #1"..... And ever since then I felt like he was going to leave the second he got a chance. And I also wondered if he backed off so he wouldn't get hurt.
