caveman
I know that different positions will have responsibility for the TE depending on different looks and the quality of the tight end. But traditionally, a linebacker would be called on for the shorter routes that seem to kill us. Who do y'all think we have that could disrupt and blanket the TE for at least 10 yards? The Real Tony G.
Durant.
JC Falcon
The top TEs can't be covered by any LB. It's like asking if a CB can cover Julio or Megatron. They all need safety help.Do we LB that can cover average TE? Yes, but there will still be some completions.
delaigle
How do you get to be a TOP TE ifr you can be covered???

Ovie_Lover
I wonder if a Panties, Sucs, or Aints fans have made a silly thread like "do we have a corner that can cover Julio"
caveman
I would like to think that there's more options to jam a TE for 10 yds. than to cover JJ everywhere.
Tribal Chief
Out of 32 teams, how many other teams just handle top tight ends in the league.

caveman
Let me revise this topic to our ability to limit the effectiveness of an 'average' TE.
Ovie_Lover
Let me revise this topic to our ability to limit the effectiveness of an 'average' TE.Then Durant, Worr, and Reed together can do it
Lornoth
Let me revise this topic to our ability to limit the effectiveness of an 'average' TE.Durant and Reed have both been effective in coverage during their careers. I think Worr can do it as well as long as he's not asked to do things that counter his skillset (like twenty yard drops).
GleasonForever!
I may get flamed but Durant and maybe Reed can. I strongly believe that either Wright lll, Miles Jack, Reggie Ragland, Kentrel Brothers, Jaylon Smith, or Mychal Kendricks will be in a Falcon Uniform next year.I think Worr gets replaced or back up next year. Quinn likes speed and LB's that can cover. We have struggled mightily these past years.
Durrtay
I wonder if a Panties, Sucs, or Aints fans have made a silly thread like "do we have a corner that can cover Julio" Panther homers feel like norman can take julio out a game by himself
WornOutFalconFan
If the defense would only bump the TE as he comes off the line it would go a long way in helping to cover anyone in the league.
iDash
No, they can't even cover Old crappy Te Tamme!Other than Durant, our LBS are last in talent in the NFL!They have heart though. One Day,I want us to find a (4.4) SS that can add weight, like Urlacher and make him are MLB.I would settle on getting my fav lofton back.I think Bartu is out best LB to cover TEs though. Sun Tzu 7
Panther homers feel like norman can take julio out a game by himselfTo be fair if Matt doesn't get more the one second to throw the ball it's tough to get Julio the ball... mattyicefalcon
It all starts with pressure upfront - Beasley & co got this. We will make them irrelevant not too worried,
k-train
Knock the snot out of the QB before he has a chance to throw the ball to the TE.
FalconFan13
Truthfullly you could even throw C4 at them in coverage for the more athletic guys he is almost as big as some LB's and can hit harder than alot of them while being more athletic. It's one of the rare benefits of having a true SS that can play like a LB and at times cover like a FS.
Knight of God
Durant can, but that is not the way this defense is actually set up.
SkyborneC-Falcon4Life
Durant, is really good in coverage. He has been really good at intercepting passes and covering people on every team he has been on.
