Jdawgs Top Takeaways From The First Pre Game

Going back and watching the Titans first and second drives, Beasley was double teamed on a lot of those plays. I'm surprised that they're giving him that much respect this early on. Hageman was getting some impressive push as well. I can't wait to see what this front 7 can do.

also when beasly was beside clayborn he was a lot better they might become a dynamic tag team

neither are world beaters but smith closed the game out was avg over 4 yds a carry and had the best vision

I didn't realize Smith averaged over 4 yds per carry. That's not so bad, but it just looked like for such a big guy he went down too easily. As I mentioned, my memory is a little fuzzy though.

Did you re-watch the game? Didn't Hawley come back in and play some with the second team? Konz was actually playing center when Antone scored and got injured and that was pretty early in the game. Coaches seemed to be swapping people all around a lot, but I really didn't expect Konz to be playing center so early since we haven't heard of him even playing center in camp.

He came back in the game after Konz' bad snap...

I thought I was the only one that noticed Bradford, lol. I'm not sure what his problem is that he hasn't been able to get more playing time with his previous teams. I guess he just didn't have enough experience at LB?

things I love about bradford

has a bucket load of speed

Great vision and recognition

great tackler very solid, also knows when to lay the wood

Yeah, he was very impressive. It looks like his transition from RB to LB is complete. For what it's worth DLed said the other day that Bradford has been is MVP of training camp so far.

Starr was interesting to watch. On one play, he blasted through the line and then whiffed on the RB who ran right by him. The look on his face was priceless. It was like he was the most surprised dude in the building that he got in the backfield so fast.

If he can learn to finish, he'll be good rotational depth. He was a pleasant surprise yesterday.

amen vel I counted yates literally had 7 seconds to get rid of the ball that 6 seconds more than matt ryan had most of last yr

Lol as soon as I saw it was Hawley, I knew this was coming. It's like all facts go out of the window with this guy. They want him to be bad so bad.

2. I was shocked in general how much we threw the ball, not just with ryan but with all qbs. I thought we would run the ball even more.

You need to evaluate your pass protection, your QB's, and your WR/TE's. a 50/50 split is more than reasonable in preseason but I expect us to be balanced on offense considering the QB-WR combo we have
